SPOILERS at LAST!

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

Winter_Cabin_1.jpgPossibly, of course! Reality BBQ, one of the biggest and best conglomerations of Big Brother Info on the web (I felt I had finally arrived when they posted the first link to Big Brother Craze!) has posted the following information about the look of the Big Brother 9 house! Check it out!

–The house is extremely colourful - so colourful that it might take us time to get used to.

–The living room and kitchen are decorated like a winter cabin “on crack” - logs and stones, like the wallpaper on the third level during BB8 - to match the winter season. They even have that basement-esque white birch mural paper up in the Diary Room! Ick. The living room also sports a circular couch for the big happy HG family.

–The third level is no longer the log wallpaper and is bookshelf wallpaper. I sense themes… everywhere.

–The HoH room has a surfer theme - gnarly, dude! The other bedrooms have low walls which divide up a little bit of individual space for the HG - great idea! One room has a nautical them! Fun.

–The backyard now sports a firepit to keep the HG warm on the frosty winter nights.

–The pool is also heated now!

Sounds pretty darn homey, if I do say so myself. Of course, that’s likely because I live in Alaska and winter cabins are the norm. I love, love, love the idea of the fire pit, though it could bring some interesting fights on nights with copious amounts of alcohol! Thankfully they heated up the pool - that will make those bemoaning the winter lack of bikini’s happy, for sure, although last Season the pool wasn’t used that much, just oh so much sunbathing.

The bookshelf wallpaper, however, is just mean. If they won’t let them READ, is it really fair or nice to tease them so? I’m not sure I get the nautical theme and how it works in with the other - let alone the Surfer HOH room. Though it is winter in Southern California, so anything is possible.

And just how colorful is “so much it’ll take getting used too”? Last season was pretty colorful I thought, but sounds like a possible acid 60s flashback in the making! And how the heck does THAT mesh with winter cabins - even winter cabins on crack? Though… it could be a Northern Lights/Aurora Borealis take… Who knows, but I’m glad to finally have a glimpse inside those walls!

Now if only they’ll sequester the Houses Guests and announce them already!

Still counting down…

DLSlogocap_1.jpg…and it looks like those posting CBS clips to YouTube have caught the fever too! Along with the Dirty Little Secret promos, there’re two new clips that poke fun at the houseguests of Big Brother 8. While the first one is mildly amusing, the second one is laugh out loud funny!

Julie Chen, our beloved Chenbot, will be on Craig Ferguson on February 11th, the night before the premiere! Of course, by that time, we will already know (hopefully!) the Houseguests names and other particulars and such. She should be able to talk more freely then she did on Letterman though!

Chenbot is also already in California, preparing for the premier. Her note from CBS Early Show said she had left, and was hoping to get the Powers That Be to allow her to announce the Twist on The Early Show. Which, of course, all but confirms there WILL be a twist, despite her saying on Letterman she knew nothing. She’s pretty smart though, her programming likely allowed her to deduce that since there’s been a twist every year since Season 4.

Entertainment Tonight was supposed to have a preview of the House yesterday, but it was apparently postponed without even a blip of a mention. Likely that will happen on the 4th, as that’s when we’re expecting the Houseguests have been sequestered and are about to move in. At least, that’s what we’re HOPING, of course.

Though Entertainment Tonight raised our hopes without seeing through, LA Ink was true to their word and we got to see Dr. Will in action on January 29th! One of the girls, Pixie, has decided to get a tattoo that doesn’t really have a story or mean anything to her removed so that she can replace if with something personal of meaning.

You know you’re addicted when… Vid added!

ChenbotDLshow2.jpg….you watch David Letterman (who I dislike immensely) on the off chance of learning something new about the upcoming season as Julie Chen guests….

Well, that was disappointing.

There was nothing new on the interview, what little they talked about Big Brother involved the evolution of all strangers to seasons with twists, to a fake Big Brother After Dark segment and a plug that the season starts on February 12th. Guess we have to wait another week or so!

Sigh.

Here’s the Youtube for those who missed it - not that you missed much, of course.

Chenbot does Letterman!

Monday, January 28th, 2008

ChenbotDLshow.jpgChenbotDLshow3_1.jpg

Don’t forget! Tonight, the one and only Chenbot will be on David Letterman.

There’s a bunch of ideas floating around as to what she’ll be able to reveal, but we know that Big Brother 9 will at least be mentioned! And, of course, the pictures have already surfaced of her outside the studio this afternoon before taping. She looked fabulous, of course, and even struck a pose for the camera.

Check back later for what happened on Letterman! (Sorry, ya’ll gotta wait until I get the west coast edition!)

Also - seems a group of 8 lucky reporters, including Mark from realitywanted.net, spent Saturday locked up in the Big Brother House! Not only did they get the VERY FIRST look of the house, they have a specific date of when they’re able to talk about it - February 4th. Dare we hope our houseguests will be sequestered then and we’ll be getting our list of houseguests FINALLLy?

Mark posted on his Myspace that he’d been locked up in the house for 12 hours with 7 other ‘houseguests’. They went through HOH, POV and eviction all in one day - and he was put on slop AND up on the block for “screwing up” - there’s the promise of video and more info coming soon!

I’ll let ya know more as soon as I know it! Who knows, maybe that footage, or a part of it, will be on Letterman with Julie tonight!

Final_Draft_Print_Animation.gifAnd if you’re going to be anywhere near Rainbow Oregon - there’s still room left for Kail’s BB9 Premeire party! James, Kail, Jen, Kaysar, Rachel, Jennifer, Howie, Nick and Daniele will all be there, as well as others - Zach says he’s trying to clear his schedule and get there too! The day before the premeire, on February 11, there’s going to be a snowboarding/hot springs trip too. Click the image to get a full sized look and the phone number to call for more info!

Can’t get enough?

LAink.jpgOf past houseguests, that is? As we all know, Dr. Will Kirby has been doing stints on that new show Dr. 90210, and we’ve seen the rest of Chill Town, Boogie make appearances there too. That appearance netted them a tie vote and a Realtini for the best Showmance with our beloved Eric and Jessica at the Fox Reality TV awards last fall. I’ve never watched that show (I know – what kind of Reality Queen am I?) but tonight, after a new episode of another show that I avidly watch, I was in for a little surprise – and so are you!

We’ve all been eagerly awaiting Evel Dick’s appearance on LA Ink, which has yet to air. However – for those die hard fans, NEXT TUESDAY, one of the LA Ink girls, Pixie, discovers that having a Tattoo removed is more painful then having one put on. And who is doing the removal?

You guessed it – Dr. Will himself will be talking about laser tattoo removal and seeing to removing one of Pixie’s many tattoos!

So tune in to TLC next Tuesday, January 29th to see Dr. Will in action! And, of course, to discover why Pixie wants that particular tattoo removed of the dozens that she has. It’s sure to make an interesting story and episode!

Still no word for sure when the episode will play of Dick’s visit and tattoo (He gets tattoo’d by Hannah, and Daniele gets a small matching piece as well.) but as soon as I hear or see the previews, I’ll let you know.

Misc. tidbits!

Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

jchenbb.jpgSo, while we continue to wait to see what delights and surprises February 12th will bring us avid fans, the rumors and speculation continues to fly thick and fast. I wasn’t too sure I’d post the next one, because it was just as outlandish as some as the ones before, but people can’t seem to let it go - AND someone who was at a casting call seems to have a possible insider track.

It’s all about Dirty Little Secrets, of course. People are obsessed with the use of the song. Last year they were obsessed about the flamingos on the logo. Some say it had NOTHING to do with the season, but since the theme was Malice in Wonderland, and the Queen of Hearts played Croquet with Flamingos… arguments could be made either way. But I digress….

Dirty little Secrets - that’s what we were talking about. One of the posters over at Survivor Sucks, Alabamacandace, attended one of the open casting calls and says the following:

Alright, so I went to the open call in Atlanta and while I did not get a call back, I can share a tidbit that makes me think this secret thing may have some validity.

In my group of 5, there was a girl, a blonde model from Atlanta and she mentioned something like “I am dating 2 guys - one knows and the other doesn’t know” after she said this one of the casting people stopped her and said “don’t tell the rest of what the other guy doesn’t know in front of everyone else”. After we were all dismissed, she was asked too stay behind.

There was a gay guy in my group who I walked out with and I wondered aloud what was up with her and what was the big secret. The gay guy told me she was a tranny - a friend of his knew her and he told her to come to the open call.

She mentioned she had never seen the show, knew nothing about it all, and just because of her “secret” I am 99% positive she got a call back and would not be surprised to see her on the show. She was really pretty but I HATE HATE HATE that another know nothing about the game dumb bitch may be getting on because she has some sort of overexaggerated “secret”. Even though I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to blow her spot up - I won’t mention her name - I can PM it to Aero or SoA and when we know they are sequestered I will post it. Again, she may not be on - but they made a big deal of her not spilling her “secret” in front of the rest of us and y’all KNOW a beautiful blonde tranny from the South who grew up on a farm and knows nothing about BB is the kind of shit these dumb casting idiots drool over.

They did ask all of us if we had something interesting to tell them about ourselves “that no one knows about.” So, having been through the casting and hearing other people’s stories - I am inclined to believe there is something to this.

Some are pooh-poohing this, of course, as people tend to do, but what do you think? Is there validity to the claim? Is there a possibility that the Dirty Little Secret is a transsexual in their midst? Does it really matter? Are we, once again, grasping at straws?

In other news, the one and only Evel Dick Donato will be doing some promo spots for Big Brother After Dark when he returns from his trip and the Motley Cruise. No, he won’t be taking Julie Chen’s place, just doing some promos in addition to the ones she will have already filmed the day before he arrives home. He also is slated to do a webcast shit-talking this season of Big Brother. Always opinionated, that will be something to listen too for sure! I’ll post details of when and where as soon as I know them.

The countdown continues!

Another new promo!

Thursday, January 17th, 2008

DLSlogocap_1.jpgA new commercial hit the airwaves today with more of the “dirty little secret” playing along! The confirmation this one gives us is that there will be, indeed, 14 houseguests, just like previous seasons. Seems to me that means there can’t be a shortened season of 6 weeks as was rumored if they have the full number of houseguests. There’s just not enough time, unless every week was a double eviction week. That’d certainly be ambitious and HECTIC and exhausting if it were true. I think we’ll see the normal 12 week season.

And of course, the promo also promises that there are more secrets then can be counted… is Dirty Little Secret really the key to it all? What kind of twists has Allison Grodner and crew cooked up now? For the past five seasons, houseguests have known each other. Is it too much to hope for an old fashioned Season of Strangers?

Who knows - but here’s the preview, anyway! (grin)

Big Brother After Dark is back!

Tuesday, January 8th, 2008

DLSlogocap_1.jpgThe folks at CBS were kind enough to let us know at last the answer to at least ONE of our many questions about the upcoming Winter Big Brother - BB After Dark will air, just as it did last summer! CBS and Showtime will partner up to bring 3 hours of unedited, uncensored airing of what’s going on in the Big Brother House on the SHO2 beginning the night of the premiere February 12th, from 12am-3am ET/PT. (For those of us in Alaska, that’s 11-2, so keep that in mind while setting the DVR!)

Both Showtime and CBS were happy with the success BB8 showed during those early morning hours, despite the complaints that the houseguests KNEW about it and played to the cameras - which is sorta what we expect them to do 24/7, so whatever, complainers! The ratings were good, people kept checking in, and I can’t wait to see it come back!

There is, perhaps, another hint about the 6-week season rumor too - the press release also gives the standard description of a Big Brother Season, lasting for 3 months. If they didn’t just copy it because it’s the typical description, then perhaps we can put the 6 week long season rumor to rest at last.

I can’t WAIT! I’m eager for the new season to start, the new cast to be announced and some of the more ridiculous rumors to be squashed - like Evel Dick being brought in for another go around, with Will and Boogy…. No. just….no. (because, you know, CBS totally reads here and does what I ask. HAHAH!) I mean, I love the guy, but just… no.

Click the cut there, if you want to read the Press Release in its entirety! Just 35 days to go!

Big Brother around the world!

Thursday, January 3rd, 2008

BBatw.jpgI don’t follow much about the other Big Brothers around the world - because really, the US version is more then enough drama for me, especially with our special Winter Session coming up! I knew there were other versions, of course, but I had no clue that Big Brother has been in 38 different countries, and some of the wild antics that have gone on - it’s the sex, lies, and videotape of current day!

Anyway - some lovely random stats for you from the show’s opener: 31 Countries, 2677 houseguests 177 houses 38 countries and 2 billion viewers! Nice to know we’re not alone in our obsession! (grin) When and where was the first Big Brother? The Netherlands in 1999 and? It would take you 14 years to watch every episode of every Big Brother around the world.

Swedes have the most sex, the cheater in UK won, but ended up divorced but who has the weirdest tasks? The Belgium’s like searching for a key in a vat of pig parts. When they ran out of cigarettes they had to blow darts at each other to get more - only the ones that STUCK resulted in the prize. They also let out 100 tarantulas into the house - the houseguests had to collect them, and one was extremely phobic. The worst part? They told them it was 100 spiders, but it was only 99. Hah. The weirdest pets? The pregnant cow in Germany, and the full-grown elephant in Thailand.

And all of that is just from the first part! Click below to catch more of Big Brother around the world - including our very own Project DNA and Evel Dick. Oh, and the topper of all the insanity? It would have to be the pregnant houseguest who delivered her baby in the Netherlands Big Brother house.

Since 1999, all around the world, houseguests have lied, cheated, were loud, were kicked out, were rude, bitched, kissed, fought, and generally made fools of themselves for our entertainment. I LOVE this show!

Part One

The rest is after the cut!
