:00 Previously on Big Brother… here we go kids!

:02 Hello there Julie! It’ day 24 inside the big brother house, and the game has become personal. Keesha dished out a helping on revenge as she targeted those she held responsible for Steven’s eviction. Tonight, Jessie or Angie will be going home.

but first - can Angie turn the tide in her favor? Sometimes the smallest conversation can spark a firestorm.

:03 flashback to the end of the POV Meeting. Angie says that she’s in an Alliance with Jessie, but it’s every man for himself since they’re on the block together. Jessie says to the camera he didn’t even break a sweat. Keesha says she told Jessie he was safe. Jessie says he has noting to worry about, and can do what he wants. Michelle is crying in the DR and says she feels bad cuz she’s become friends with them. She tells Angie in the SR that they’re the only ones she gives a crap about and hates to be in that position. Angie tells her to vote with the house if she wants too, its ok. Michelle says it sucks, and she’s closest to them. She has her head down in the DR, glasses on, and says again that it sucks.

:05 Cut to the back yard, where Jessie asks where they went wrong, and they laugh - they didn’t win HOH or POV, and Memphis says Jerry called him a womanizer again, and what a fool, what is the matter with these people?

Angie talks to Jerry and tells them that the only people that it’s going to work on sucking up to won’t be in power next week. Angie says well then, are you going to go with what the house says? There are bigger fish to fry in the house. Jerry says he doesn’t disagree, but this week isn’t his choice. She points out he always has a choice. Jerry says the numbers make the choice, and this last week, he felt they got cocky about controlling everything in the house. Angie is like are you kidding me? They weren’t alone last week. Jerry says he has nothing against Angie, he’ll work it out.

Memphis tells us he was saying that it’d owkr out and they’re likely going to go against Keesha and vote out Jessie. Upstairs Jessie and keesha are talking and Memphis joins and tells Keesha he overheard Jerry tell ANgie she’s not out yet, and Jessie says “told you I’m not safe.”

Michelle and Angie are talking how Jerry said she’s not out of the game, and lets her know that Jerry said her name too. Angie tells us kicking up some dust doesn’t hurt anything at all, takes the attention off of her.

Jerry goes upstairs, where Dan and Renny are there, and Jerry says he was in ANgie’s grasp, while Michelle tells Memphis and Jessie that Angie said Jerry said they were running the house and being cocky, and Michelle says she needs to calm down so she doesn’t do physical harm.

Keesha tells Jerry that she was told he said Angie is safe - and he says that’s bullshit, and they’re playing a game. He comes downstairs, and Michelle jumps him “You talking about me?” And Jerry says he won’t kiss her ass and she’s trying to cause trouble, and Michelle says he was talking junk, and he was talking toabout her, and Jerry says they’re not worthy of his comments, you’re coming at me with your friends, you’re a fool. Jessie says everyone knows Jerry is playing with eveyrthing, and he’ll be kissing whoever’s ass is HOH, and Jerry says he won’t kiss his ass. And Angie smiles outside. (LOVE HER. Sob.)

Coming up, America’s player is back - your bidding for one week, for 20k. Who did you choose, and did they accept the offer? Stay with us…

Happy Live Show Day!

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

Good Morning, Big Brother Crazies (And other assorted visitors for the Giveaway!) First things first, did you see the houseguests on Craig Ferguson last night? I kinda love him, I do. If you missed it, here ya go:

Just remember… safety first!

The houseguests were waken up a little over an hour, and we’re well into our fishies for the day. As usual, live show days are short on the houseguest views, and big n the fishes. Apparently, they now are positive that the earthquake was faked, that Craig Ferguson helped perpetuate the fraud just to mess with them. Though Ollie said “They’re good, the EARTH shook…” April reminded him that they stepped up into the house and thus it’s part of the set. *shakes head* Sigh.

They’ve also gotten hints on the comp tonight - that it will involve shaking and balance, and now they’re back 100% in the get rid of Angie camp, because as Keesha said “That Asian thing” (that sound you heard wasmy eyes rolling…) They do feel that Angie would be better at an endurance comp, and it’s 100% see ya lady now. Sigh.

Here’s hoping some last minute maneuvering will save her, or heaven help us - that Jessie wins HOH tonight. (I shuddered to even WRITE that, ya’ll!)

I’m in and out this morning with normal mom stuff, but I’ll be back with bells on for the Live Show Recapping! See ya then!

(In the meantime, breeze by the giveaway post! We’re closing in on that second sticker winner!)

Caption time!

Thursday, July 31st, 2008

For fun, as the houseguests do the same ole same ole and recycle the same stories as they pretend to get along - while in two distinct groups as the 7 shuns the outcasts - I thought we could have some fun. Here’s a couple of my favorite screen shots from today.

Pick one and caption away in the comments section! Click to get a bigger view and use the back button to get back here.

And don’t forget - comments on the giveaway post are the only ones that count for the prizes, so drop in there too!

Scurrying hamsters… for?

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

So, after fishies briefly, the hamsters were in a flurry of activity as they raced around to get “camera ready” in just 15 minutes, then back to fish at 4:05 BB Time. Do I know what’s up? Nope, not a clue. This one is completely random and no one seems to know what’s going on so your guess is as good as mine! Soon as I know, you’ll know!

In the meantime - join the fun over here on this post, for your chance to win!

Stay tuned -this post will update as soon as we’ve figured out what’s going on…

4:45 - still fishes.

5:04 - brief glimpse of Michelle getting changed, houseguests milling around in the kitchen, fishes, then back again. Lockdown door just went up, so they’re free to roam about the house, and sorry for my other hopefuls - Jessie is still there, no early eviction of the one we hope is going (but alas, know better. sigh.)

They’ll be locked down inside soon again, and everyone is commenting about how early it’ll be, and what kinda big HOH set up it’ll be.

Sounds like they were on Craig Furgeson again… Jessie’s bitching that he has made an effort to keep his shirt on this week just in case, and now they caught him the one time with his shirt off again. Or something. Who knows with Jessie right?

Renny told Ollie he’s becoming a star - Keesha was called out for something and Jessie was blamed… there was talk about the earthquake, and April is embarassed because they had those green face masks on when they ran to the yard during the earthquake. hahahah!

I’m beginning to think that I should start a list of things that embarrass April - paired with the things that should.

Looks like I’ll be watching the late late show again tonight! Sounds like they’ll be weekly guests, according to Michelle.

Awww! Jerry just apologized to Memphis for the womanizer comment. He offered to do it publicly, and on live tv. Memphis said that wasn’t necessary and accepted the apology. Good man, Jerry. You too, Memphis.

Unfortunately, the Plastics (ala Mean Girls, aka April, Libra, Keesha, Renny) are all kinds of annoyed about the apology, because Jerry did it before the HOH, and they consider it a betrayal. Just like if you dare speak to the ‘outcasts’ and all. It’s really quite disgusting.

I want to like Keesha. I do. But she’s making it REALLY difficult. I generally like Renny, but I think she’s going overboard about ApologyGate. Libra and April - don’t even get e started, honey.

Plastics. I guess life really is just High School Redux, hm?

Groundhogs day. Ha! That’s what Angie called it a few minutes ago, as it’s a repeat of yesterday. They finally told the houseguests that the show has been moved to Thursdays just before 11am this morning. Keesha has gotten the camera as well, and since all the boys were alseep, there was some stealth picture taking, and a bunch of bikini shots of the girls as they worked together to take the pictures. It was kinda nice to see, ya know?

Of course, it doesn’t last long, as the whisperings begin again. Angie has told Memphis that her complaining about staying around yesterday was for Jessie’s benefit, but she does plan to talk to Keesha. Wisely, she wants to do it last minute, as Keesha does not think rationally about the decision, and getting Jessie out as the stronger player is a good play for the week. She plans on talking to everyone else too, and see where they stand, what she can do.

Fingers crossed here!

The colonel has been staring at Keesha when she talks to anyone else, especially Memphis, and grumblings and rumblings have already started. Libra and Dan had a long conversation last night about how he’s playing the game, and is perceived as a floater, and that Libra isn’t after him but the others… so maybe he needs to declare who he stands with. Yeah, cuz that’ll work out well for YOU Libra.

We’ll see how things shake up for tomorrow night, though. Hopefully they’ll see the light and keep our girl Angie, hm?

PS - The Banner: After watching it twice on my tv, and pausing and straining my eyes, and reading comments around, it’s a pretty safe bet that the banner was not even BB related. It said “Happy Birthday, ____! We (heart) you!” and that name there didn’t look like Renny or Keesha, who are the birthday girls this week.

And how sad was it that BB didn’t do anything for Renny’s birthday! April and the girls made her a cookie cake though, and they used a q-tip for a candle, and tried to make the best of it for her. Keesha’s really depressed about her 30th b-day now. Heh.

And since I wasn’t here for the HOH shots, here’s some bathing beauties for you!

:00 Previously on Big Brother… it’s recapping time, kids! Who will win the POV and will it save Angie or Jessie? find out now!

:02 We start back at the end of the nomination ceremony. Angie says surprise, surprise, surprise. it was expected but not over yet. Jessie says he’s given her nothing but respect, and this is disprepectful in return. Memphis says it was a dumb move. Keesha says that she holds Jessie responsible for putting Steven up for no reason.

In the SR, April and Libra tell Keesha the reasons were good. Michelle tells Jessie that she said not to trust her. Jessie and Michelle put together the alliance and say Libra is orchastrating everything. Jessie says its fine, he’ll just win POV, but not to be surprised if Michelle is the replacement. Her key was last.

Keesha tells her group that Michelle was freaking out, and April says Steven will be proud of her. keesha says that it’s dirtier now, lines have been drawn, and she had to start it. They start saying Angie is the one who needs to go, she’s sliding by.

Outside, Dan and Jerry talk and Jerry says that Memphis is the biggest competitor, but has a big head, and should be well along in his career instead of being a bartender. He’s a womanizer. He’ll win the way it’s going, no one’s trying to take it away from him.

Dramatic music… here comes Jessie up to the HOH to talk to Keesha. He says he doesn’t hate her, and there’s no hard feelings. While the other mean girls are downstairs and figuring what’s going on. Jessie tells Keesha that Libra is working everyone, and that she was the one saying to put up Steven and Dan. Libra and Ollie and April were the ones who said to put them up. Keesha says he knows. They tell April and Libra to come back - they sit down right outside the door,and Jessie and Keesha watch.

Keesha says Libra is scared, look at her actions, she can promise the world, it doesn’t matter. Keesha asks again if Libra was the one who said put Steven up. He says yes, she used you. Keesha says she feels crazy. Jessie says that if someone wins, POV they can still get Libra out, and Keesha says her word is everything. She gave Libra her word. Jessie says Libra’s word means nothing, it’d be worth more to get Libra out of the house. keesha says she understands.

:09 Jessie leaves, and the other girls go in right away. Libra says they heard yelling and Keesha says that he was cool, and was upset and Keesha says she knows he’s coming after her.

Michelle and Jessie celebrate downstairs, and that they have to win POV and then Libra is gone, even if Keesha wins.

America’s Player returns!

Tuesday, July 29th, 2008

No, not Erik, sillies! Nope, Carolyn at the Dish received a press release that says the AP concept is coming back for a week and we get to choose who it is! Here’s the release:

07.29.2008

THIS JUST IN… From CBS Entertainment… “BIG BROTHER 10″ TO BRING BACK “AMERICA’S PLAYER”

Viewers To Vote For The Houseguest Who Will Be Offered The Chance To Do America’s Bidding For One Week And Win Up To $20,000

July 29, 2008 - BIG BROTHER 10 will bring back the popular America’s Player segment that debuted in “Big Brother 8,” in which viewers will have the opportunity to vote to decide which current Houseguest will be given the chance to be the new America’s Player on Tuesday, July 29 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

The Houseguest with the most votes will be offered the chance to become America’s Player for one week. If they accept, they will do America’s bidding and will have the opportunity to win a total of $20,000. They will be asked to make moves that are both personal and strategic, from getting certain Houseguests nominated for eviction to convincing their fellow Houseguests to vote for who America wants out of the house.

Most importantly, they can never tell anyone in the house that they are working on behalf of viewers and they need to be careful… because, just like their fellow Houseguests, they can be voted out at any time. Viewers will be able to vote on cbs.com or via text messaging from their mobile phone.

BIG BROTHER 10 is broadcast three nights weekly, on Sundays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT), Tuesdays (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) and the live eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, Thursdays (8:00-9:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT) on the CBS Television Network.

So the question is - do we vote for someone we LIKE and who we think will do the job? Or someone we HATE so that it gets them in trouble and evicted? I say A - what about you?

Thanks for the heads up, Carolyn!

Earthquake!

Don’t forget to visit the giveaway post by clicking here! Comment for your chance to win!

~~~
ETA: Local news station, CBS2 in CA, had this coverage of the earthquake and the BB house - thanks BBDish!
Ok, so when I woke up this morning, everything was calm. I go and take my daughter to swim lessons - and there’s an EARTHQUAKE? Apparently BB And Mother Nature missed the memo that such things need to happen while I’m HERE. Harumph.
A friend of mine in California let me in on the quake, where it was centered and the magnitude (5.4) and then laughed when I said “I don’t know anyone there PERSONALLY, but I bet the Big Brother House felt it!” Thanks for the update, TBF!
Everyone is calm now, and Dan even gave more swim lessons for Renny and Ollie. He’s so patient with them, I kinda want him to come up here and teach my daughter! I think I’m kinda crushin’ on Dan a little, truth be told. But not as much as I’m crushin’ on Angie! Still have fingers crossed…
BB apparently still has not let the houseguests in on the fact that eviction won’t be until Thursday, and they’re wondering where the camera is, and why Keesha hasn’t blogged yet. That’ll be tomorrow, hampsters! They figure the earthquake has things all in a tizzy.
Vaguely spoilerish below!
Happy Birthday Renny!
Tuesday, July 29th, 2008
Just after midnight, BB time - and it’s time to happy dance and hug, as it’s Renny’s Birthday!
They’re gonna try and get some wine for Renny for her birthday, but they won’t let them into the DR to ask. The houseguests decided to try and sing Happy Birthday, knowing that it’s trademarked, and the feeds cut out on the first word - Skippy is fast on the button for sure. We come back to laughter and apologies.
As for gameplay - today’s been very lowkey after yesterdays wild ride. The plotting was at a minimum, but there was some really fun conversations between Angie and Jessie. Yes, Jessie! Sometimes the kid cracks me up. I’m still holding out for a ‘Save Angie’ moment.
In the meantime - I’m off to bed early tonight, as I’ve got swim lessons with my youngest in the morning.
While I’m gone - don’t forget the Big Brother Craze Giveaway! Go, comment, and get a chance to win!
Good morning, BB Fans!
Monday, July 28th, 2008
First off - don’t forget to scroll down and check out our Comment Contest and Give Away! It couldn’t be easier to win - let’s give the new server a workout, hm?
Secondly - Looking for screencaps? Real has put a crackdown on posting feed clips (which is insane, in my opinion, because how else do they expect us to generate interest?!) sometimes screen caps are the next best thing! My sidebar isn’t updating yet, but you can find all my random screen cap pages in a one stop link shop here: BBC ScreenCaps. And they are random, I click the screenshot button whenever it strikes my fancy. Included in last night are Renny’s impersinations of the other houseguests, Dan’s impersonation of Renny - in full outfit, and the return of the Sock Puppet Show.
One the feeds last night, and this morning - behind the cut for all the spoilery goodness!
Big Brother Craze Giveaway!
Monday, July 28th, 2008
Alrighty, Big Brother Crazies! Now that we’re up and stable for the duration, it’s time to welcome all of you back who stuck with us during this little setback as well as welcome all you new folks that have found us! How can we do that? How else?! With a giveaway!
That’s right, Big Brother Craze has teamed up with the ever-fabulous Barbara over at Knitting Passion to put out a unique gift set for the winner of this contest. In fact, it was all Barbara’s idea! She’s pretty awesome, she is, and I’m not just saying that because she’s my mom!
So here’s how it’s going to work:
1. Contest runs will begin at 12:01 AM Alaska Time, July 28, and run through Midnight Alaska Time on August 1.
2. To Enter – Leave a comment on THIS POST. I know, hard huh?
3. Each comment will be a single entry for the giveaway – but ONLY the comments on THIS POST. Feel free to comment elsewhere – in fact, I’d love that – but only the ones on THIS POST count for the giveaway.
4. I will accept multiple entries, as long as you are not spamming the comment section. Every relevant comment WILL be entered into the giveaway.
What is a relevant comment? Something about Big Brother, of course! Name a favorite houseguest, the houseguest you hate the most, favorite season, what you think of THIS season, etc.
Also, flattery toward the Big Brother Craze and Knitting Passion writers WILL get you anywhere, or at least entered into the giveaway. Bribery also accepted, though it will only get you an entry into the drawing, not a guaranteed win. We like chocolate, cashews, long romantic walks in the park at sunset, bacon, roses and Doritos, among other things. Choose accordingly.
Also considered relevant – any comment that is in reply to the comments before it – feel free to derail the conversation and carry on and cavort within the comment session. Just don’t be all spamlike, ya know?
5. Winner will be determined by Random Draw. I will use the ever popular random.org and have it choose. I’ll even screen shot the process so that you can see that I did not cheat in order to favor those with good bribery and flattery skillz.
6. This giveaway is part of the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival. All visitors from the Carnival are welcome to enter, and I encourage all of you to go visit Bloggy Giveaways for some other fantastic prizes!
7. The management reserves the right to declare a comment ineligible. That’d be me, folks, and it’s not like I’m making this difficult, so play nice, ok?
8. Obviously, you’ll have to email me your home address in order to get your prize! If you’re not willing to trust me a little there, don’t enter! I promise I won’t stalk you. Honest.
9. The winner will be chosen and announced by 8pm Alaska Time on August 2nd.
Of course, now you want to know what you’re going to win, right? Right! Every single Big Brother Fan knows that if you’re going to watch the feeds, the shows, and hang with other fans, Coffee – or some other caffeine substitute – is necessary. And sometimes, you need a beer just to make it through (or a bigger mug to hold more coffee, either way). So we here at Big Brother Craze and Knitting Passion designed a prize package to help you cozy up to your addiction.
The lucky winning commenter will receive the following as part of the prize package:
1 Big Brother Craze Coffee Mug – for those early morning wake up calls after you’ve stayed up all night listening to the houseguests talk about everything, anything and nothing.
1 Big Brother Craze Beer Stein – for those times the houseguests drive you to drink. We know it happens. We’re here for you.
1 Knitted Cup Cozy that fits over a to-go paper coffee cup – for those times where the home brew is not enough, and a trip to the coffee shop is needed – if only to remind you that the outside world exists. Don’t worry, no one will dare steal your cup when it’s protected by THIS cozy!
1 Knitted Dishcloth – to wash your mug and stein, of course! Or to hang up and admire, use as a coaster, wipe your tears when your favorite is evicted, your choice!
Cool, right?
And don’t worry, there are other possible prizes. Because I love you all, the following comment numbers will receive a Big Brother Craze sticker: 50, 100, 150, 200, 250, etc. Do I think I’ll get that many comments? Nah – but feel free to prove me wrong!
See, couldn’t be easier to win, right? Right! So comment away, tell your friends, and let’s have fun!
Sunday Recappin!
Sunday, July 27th, 2008
-:30 Whoo! Tonight on Big Brother we’ll see how they ended up with pigs feet on the menu, as well as the nomination ceremony. Hopefully we’ll get some juicy DR sessions and drama too. It’s just another day in the Big Brother House! Stay right here for the as it happens recap…
:00 Previously on Big Brother… here we go, kids!
:02 We start, as always, with the end of the Eviction - including Steven’s “Suck it bitches!” And Michelle saying she was flabergasted, and Jerry saying it was a personal attack, he called them all bitches. Dan says his plan is working, and Angie says it’s hard to see all your friends leave one by one. Keesha says it was hard to see him go, but she had to do what the house wanted. Libra says in the end it wasn’t worth it to keep Steven.
Dan thanks everyone and Steven’s picture goes black and white. Keesha tells us, in tears, that he didn’t deserve to leave and it was wrong that he was up there to begin with. Angie says she can focus more on strategy without Steven. Angie says Steven is responsible, and let Steven take the fall.
:04 flash to Keesha winning the HOH cometition and the celebration thereof. She tells us she held back, she was excited and she’s going to turn the house upside down. Renny says she wanted Keesha to win, she’s a friend and has a lot of depth. Libra does a happy dance and says it can’t go any better, it gets better better better.
Michelle says her alliacnce has gotten out Brian, and Steven and they only need Keesha to do some more dirty work. Keesha says that Angie looked worried, and she should be. Dan says he threw the HOH competition by missing the second question. April says she’s happy for Keesha, she wants her to stick with the plan and get Renny, Jerry or Dan out.
Keesha says that now that she has the key it’s amazing who will kiss her ass, and she’s not forgetting who was there before she got the key.
Flash to her talking to Michelle, Renny and Libra and explaining how she was a friend to Steven and she is excited about HOH, but hates it at the same time, she doesn’t know who to put up. Libra tells us that she doesn’t know what she’s thinking and sometimes you wonder if she’s sleeping with the enemy.
Memphis and Jerry say it’s perfect and they’re good. Libra grabs Keesha and says she could cry, and asks if she’s excited and says she has her back, and next week she’ll have her back. Keesha says “revenge” and Keesha says she holds certain people responsible for Steven leaving, and she has news for the big group, she makes the decision and she’s changing he game.
:08 Time for the HOH Room Reveal. Pictures of Gizmo, and all her goodies, including a letter for home. Dan says she wasn’t concerned about her family, she wanted to see her baby, her dog. More of them talking about her dog, and then everyone clears out so that she can read her letter from home.
Libra says if she got hoh she’d want to read her letter by herself, but of course Renny stuck around. Keesha says she kept Renny in there because she’s the only one she completely trusts, and that her family means the world to her - we see her cry her way through her letter, as Renny says they’ve formed a friendship as if she was a daughter. And the letter was touching.
:10 Keesha tells Renny that she’s the person she’s trusted the whole time, her and Steven, and Renny says she can’t trust Libra at all. Renny says she’s acting like she’s running the house and will stab her in the back so fast. April joins and they discuss not knowing who the real friends. Renny says April is a pain in the ass, all blond hair and boobs or whatever. She leaves the HOH, and April and keesha talk. April says that she knew that this will divide the house, and its time to target two strong players.
The doorbelle rings again, and here comes Libra, then Ollie. Keesha says they need to tlak, and that this is what they’re thinking and she wants their word. She says she wants Angie up and out because she didn’t have Steven’s back, and she’s a huge threat. She asks for suggestions for who to put up against her. They say Memphis, and Keesha says she has a lot of options, and Libra could be one of them and she doesn’t even know she’s a target.
:13 Commercial!
