Big Brother Craze

First off - Check out the new banner! Ain’t it spiffy? Soon enough we’ll have some house guest faces to put up there, but for now, we’ll just have to hang on to the commercials and pick up the rumors that are already starting to fly!

Speaking of commercials - here’s the first one with the premiere date on it!

And as is custom, the rumors are already starting to fly about what the twists will be this summer and how many houseguests we’ll get, etc. Some are saying they’ve heard there will only be 10 houseguests, others are saying that can’t possibly be true, while still more are thinking that the “early” start date is due to our beloved ChenBot’s baby bump. First - it’s not an “early” start. It falls right into line with all the other starts we’ve seen in the first week and a half of July.

As for the 10 houseguest rumor - that falls into line with what an anonymous poster at Jokers had to say:

Thats all I have . . . . .

Understandably this has the boards a buzzin - though there was some speculation that this would be the twist of BB10 for a while too. This would explain why there may be only a few houseguests at the beginning. For my part, I’m going to wait for CornerOffice to show up at Reality BBQ - as he’s never been wrong yet.

That’s right! Futon Critic announced earlier today that CBS sources have confirmed the premiere date for Big Brother 11! Set your DVRs now - we will begin on July 9th, at 8/7c on CBS!

It will continue on Sundays at 8/7c and Tuesdays at 9/8c, just like always.

Getting closer by the day, folks! WHOOO!

It’s been flying all over the place - and I’d be remiss not to let ya’ll know it too. According to Gretchen Massey’s MySpace blog that she posted yesterday, House Calls has been canceled.

Subject: House Calls Canceled!
Body: Just wanted everyone to know, there’s no more House Calls! They couldn’t find a sponsor and have decided not to go forward with it during this season of Big Brother.

That sucks! But maybe there’s enough time for them to find a last minute sponsor. Maybe not. I never watched House Calls religiously but I did love the interviews and Gretchen was always so cute and bubbly. I’ll totally miss getting to see her so often!

In other news - we’re in the home stretch of The Big Brother Experience over at Reality Daze! The first part of the Final Three HOH Competition was last night, with part two happening tomorrow (Tuesday) and part three the following night. We’ll have our first winner crowned on Sunday!

Without the time to have another season before I dedicate every waking second to Big Brother Craze and you, my favorite BBCrazies, we’ve decided to open the forums up for general discussion and tomfoolery - and we’ll be having a BBE Pool Party! WHOO! It came through twitter this morning, while I was enjoying my last morning nap since today is the last day of school for my kids. The calls have been made!

@BB11cast Finalist calls have been made. Thanks to all who applied in person or via home tape for the upcoming season of Big Brother.

You know what that means right? That means soon those folks will be headed to the last round of cuts in LA, and before we know it, we’ll have ourselves a new cast to pick apart and watch and cheer and jeer! Hurray!

In other news, over at my RealityDaze site, we’ve been running a Big Brother online game, and they are currently in the Final Four - going into the Final Three HOH this weekend! It’s been an awesome first season, and we hope everyone has enjoyed playing and watching it as much as Chelle and I have enjoyed running it for you! We don’t have time for another ’season’ before the real Big Brother claims all my free time, but the forums will remain open, and there will even be a Big Brother Pool Party!

I’ll be making that announcement soon - but basically we’ll randomly assign everyone who signs up and is interested a houseguest - and if their houseguest wins, the losers of the group agree to send them $10-15 in amazon gift certificates or something like that. So if your interested, and want to chat with Big Brother fans so obsessed they even play/watch online version of the game during the off seasons - head on over and check it out!

We were watching the Survivor Finale, just hoping that we’d get our first glimpse of the Big Brother Commercial complete with start date…

Well, we got the commercial. Coming in July. Cuz, you know, after 10 seasons, we hadn’t figured out that it ALWAYS starts in July. WHATEVER. But here it is for folks that haven’t seen it!

It’s getting cloooooooser! This time next month we should start hearing possible spoilers trickling through, right? Here’s hoping!

OH OH OH OH! Guess what? Over at TV MoJoe, he’s reporting an insider source has given him the start date of JULY 9th! Please note this is not official until CBS says it is, but as that makes sense, and we’d figured on that week of July anyway - it just might be a go!

Well, while it’s getting close to the deadline (May 4th - that’s MONDAY YA’LL!) to apply… (can you feel that? it’s the tingle of OMG ITS GETTING CLOSER!!!) I thought it’d be fun to sift through YouTube and see what kind of audition videos I can find for us to giggle hopelessly at!
