Big Brother 8 - Tuesday Recap!

by Lessa

Previously on Big Brother 8…

After our recap of Sunday’s episode, we rejoin the Houseguests after the Nomination Ceremony, where Dick and Daniele were nominated for eviction on Day 42. Dick tells us that his Goal is to push Daniele further in the game and give her every chance to make it. Daniele says she hates fake people and liars, and it’s hard. Jessica says a lot of people would be upset if Dick stayed, but she’d rather Daniele go instead.

Dick and Daniele talk about not being a good enough liar, and they can’t trust anyone but Zach to a certain extent. Dick tells us he’s giving Daniele a lot of advice on the folks in the game, because he feels she has a better chance then her, and offers to smash up her vitamins if needed. He feels better that she’s little him be her dad and that’s worth more to him then the money.

Jessica says she didn’t invite Jen to the HOH, but she comes up anyway. She’s trying to play both sides and listens in, and Jessica finds it really annoying. She won’t tell her to go away though, because that’d be rude. Dick says he’ll not only get the five to hate him, but to despise him so that Daniele stays in the game.

And here come the Wake Up Calls! Dick gets up early - cue the Rock n Roll! He grabs a spoon and pan and uses it RIGHT OVER DUSTIN to wake him up. He attacks Amber, Eric, and Jameka too. (here!) They edited out a lot of the bashing that went on - though his calling Dustin Princess still makes me giggle. He tells us it’s all part of the game to mess with them, to get in their heads, that it’s part of ANY game.

It’s time to pick players for the Veto!
Dick says he doesn’t care who plays, it’s them against the world!
Jessica picks Jameka and Dick shouts PRAISE THE LORD it’s the Magic Ping Pong ball! Daniele picks Dustin and Dick applauds the Princess! Dick picks Zach, and tells Eric sorry (He hasn’t gotten to play a POV yet!) and Eric is chosen as host.

Everyone playing was separated and one by one called into the back yard. There were 10 stations with drinking concoctions on them and a croquet set. However many stations you completed by drinking the drink, you’d get that many shots during the croquet game. The shots: maple syrup, pickle juice, bacon egg and oj, big brother blood, burger fries and banana shake, pig ear and feet, steak broccoli and worsteshire (sp?) sauce, water, iced tea, hot dog relish cola. Yummy.

The bacon/egg/oj messed up Jameka because of the chunks. Dustin’s strategy was to drink the thickest ones first, Zach was all “why am I fighting so hard? Yuck!” and totally threw it. “Smells like blood. Nope, not happening!” Daniele threw up at some point. Dick just sailed through it no problem. Jessica had some problems - she said it didn’t smell bad, but the taste…

After everyone finished the shots, everyone went outside where Eric welcomed them to Shot for Shot. You earn 1 point for each wicket the ball goes through, and five for hitting the gold stake. Whoever accumulates the most points wins the Power of Veto.

Zach - 3 shots = 6 points.
(Dustin - three shots? WHO IS THIS CLOWN?)
Jameka - 4 shots = 10 points
(Dick - God didn’t help her. He had better things to do)
Jessica hits the Gold Post first - and second! - 4 shots = 17 points.
(Dick - if she were fighting for her life she would have drank all 10 shots!)
Daniele is up, with Dick, and others encouraging her. 6 shots = 20 points.
Dustin - 10 shots = 32 points. He hits the stake once.
(Dustin - I drank them because I wanted to win. Dick “Come on princess!”)
And it’s all up to “Richard” as Eric called him, with 10 shots. And he talks smack after each shot too, getting closer every time. And Dick wins POV with a final hit of the stake for 33 to win by one point!

Daniele doesn’t go all crazy with her celebration, but she was clearly pleased and hugged her dad and told him congrats afterwards, while everyone else milled around and Dick celebrated in his loud RnR style. He tells us everything is going as planned, he wanted to win it for his daughter. Dustin says he has control and rolls his eyes, everyone knows how Dick loves control. Dick applauds while everyone else looks pissed off. Beautiful!

We come back, and Dustin looks like a whiny wench and how Dick would be selfish not to use it on his daughter. Enter Dick with the RnR music in the background rubbing it in everyone’s faces and gloated and baited them some more. Jameka tells us she’s at her limit and Dick is Satan. Jessica smarts off and heads upstairs, as everyone follows her. He tells Jameka he’s a better Christian, and she snarks off to Daniele “I thought He was your God too, Daniele, but I guess not.” and Daniele goes on the defensive and demands that Jameka talk to her, that Dick is not her, and that no one looks at her because of his actions and she’s done nothing to her. She walks away, and Jameka says “that’s what little girls do, they run away”. Daniele goes straight to the HOH room, and we see that confrontation as Daniele goes off on the whole house and how they won’t look at her.

Gotta say - Jameka is being a BITCH. When she blocked her from leaving the room was too much. Amber actually has to tell Jameka to let Daniele talk. (Shock.) Zach stands up for Daniele - she shouldn’t have to be Dick’s mother. Eric goes of a bit and makes his point that it should make her disgusted. Daniele says that he’s never talked to her about it. Enter the “It’s so HARD” speech from Daniele. It does get Jameka to apologize. And Dustin comes off as the condescending jerk, again.

Daniele tells us it is how she feels, but also strategy, because she doesn’t want to be hated when Dick is gone. She goes down and asks Dick to knock it off, and he promises that he will, that he’s done. Daniele tells us that she never thought she’d feel sad to see her dad leave, but now he’s the only person in the house she doesn’t want to see evicted.

We come back to Dustin offering himself as a pawn against Dick, which makes Eric happy because he’s doing the dirty work for ‘us’ and we hear his pretend speech. We don’t see Dustin trying to weasel out of it just a while later, of course, but that’s beside the point. Time for America’s Player to see his task. He must give the silent treatment to Jessica. I wonder how many takes he had to do to get across the calm “I’ll earn your respect if it kills me!” He goes to bed, as the best way to do it.

Jen plants the seeds in Jessica’s head about Dustin and Dick working together. Jessica wants to talk to Eric about it, and he blows her off and WTF?! CBS DECLARES THAT A FAILURE OF THE AP TASK! That is SO WRONG! Ugh. He says he hopes he doesn’t have to do anything like that again. SO DO I! Voters, sometimes you SUCK. You made Jessica CRY!

By doing this, Jessica thinks that both Dustin and Eric have a deal “Saw a medic, my ass.” And Jessica is in tears. “Is he really sick, or in on it too? I thought the answers would be clearer, but I don’t know what to do.”

Dick tells us that he knew exactly what he was going to do. He’d give up his life for his daughter without hesitation or thought. If he didn’t use the veto, he’d be a jackass. It’s HIS decision, and he is in control. Jessica says she doesn’t know what she’s going to do. Dick opens the Veto meeting, and asks Daniele to speak her piece. She says it’s a tough situation to ask him to use the veto on her, and whatever he decides is fine. He says - what he’s decided to do is not to use the veto….. on himself, but on Daniele.

Again - CBS! WTF? We don’t get to see the speech that made everyone cry because it was SWEET? the hell?!

Jessica says she’s been presented with many options, and nominates Dustin. Dick says “Happy day!” And dustin does his fake crying thing again, and says he feels fine about being up there. Dick is excited to be up next to Dustin because “how many times have we seen the pawn go home?” Daniele says that Dick using the Veto on her made her happy and she’ll fight for Dick to stay if she can. Jessica says this week is harder then last week and she thinks some of her group are trying to use her.

Live Evictions on Thursday! Don’t forget to vote for who you want him to evict? Vote Now!
