Big Brother Craze Giveaway!
Alrighty, Big Brother Crazies! Now that we’re up and stable for the duration, it’s time to welcome all of you back who stuck with us during this little setback as well as welcome all you new folks that have found us! How can we do that? How else?! With a giveaway!
That’s right, Big Brother Craze has teamed up with the ever-fabulous Barbara over at Knitting Passion to put out a unique gift set for the winner of this contest. In fact, it was all Barbara’s idea! She’s pretty awesome, she is, and I’m not just saying that because she’s my mom!
So here’s how it’s going to work:
1. Contest runs will begin at 12:01 AM Alaska Time, July 28, and run through Midnight Alaska Time on August 1.
2. To Enter – Leave a comment on THIS POST. I know, hard huh?
3. Each comment will be a single entry for the giveaway – but ONLY the comments on THIS POST. Feel free to comment elsewhere – in fact, I’d love that – but only the ones on THIS POST count for the giveaway.
4. I will accept multiple entries, as long as you are not spamming the comment section. Every relevant comment WILL be entered into the giveaway.
What is a relevant comment? Something about Big Brother, of course! Name a favorite houseguest, the houseguest you hate the most, favorite season, what you think of THIS season, etc.
Also, flattery toward the Big Brother Craze and Knitting Passion writers WILL get you anywhere, or at least entered into the giveaway. Bribery also accepted, though it will only get you an entry into the drawing, not a guaranteed win. We like chocolate, cashews, long romantic walks in the park at sunset, bacon, roses and Doritos, among other things. Choose accordingly.
Also considered relevant – any comment that is in reply to the comments before it – feel free to derail the conversation and carry on and cavort within the comment session. Just don’t be all spamlike, ya know?
5. Winner will be determined by Random Draw. I will use the ever popular random.org and have it choose. I’ll even screen shot the process so that you can see that I did not cheat in order to favor those with good bribery and flattery skillz.
6. This giveaway is part of the Bloggy Giveaways Carnival. All visitors from the Carnival are welcome to enter, and I encourage all of you to go visit Bloggy Giveaways for some other fantastic prizes!

You and me both, Troy - I heart Angie (which is clear when anyone looks at the screen caps I have. *L* She’s the star!) and while sometimes Jessie makes me laugh, it’s usually when the whole group is with Angie and she’s let loose and is having fun.
They’re already bantering the idea around - so hopefully by Thursday they’ll decide that they can’t handle Jessie another second and send him packing. Fingers crossed here!

Even though I have Angie in a contest, I still like her as a player. She is quite and low key. I have a major problem this year with BB, becuase the CBS aired shoe and all the live feeds are completely different. It’s like two different shows. I know things get edited and stuff, but this year it seems be vastly different than sesaons past.
Oh yeah, and Jesse needs to go! Cry baby.

Jennie, I’ve only had the feeds for seasons 8,9,10, so it seems to be more of the same to me, but I can’t vouch for the seasons before that as I only watched the network versions those years. It is a vastly different animal when you get the feeds though! Jessie and keesha both are getting a good edit this week, but there’s promise of showing Jessie’s true colors on tomorrow’s show - we can hope!
Rosa - Amen, sista! That woman drives me insane. Love how she’s all ghetto today in the pool too, but come live show time she’ll be all “Well, it’s like this..” and cultured. *rolls eyes*

Okay here we go…..
PLEASE Keesha get smart and get Jessie out! He will come after you BIG time no matter what you tell him. He only has two brain cells and they are both heading right for you. Plus I like Angie!! I have to say I LOVE Dan. Wasn’t a big fan pre-show but now LOVE him (and Angie if she survives). Not a Libra fan.

Oh & I am the same way with Dan. I didn’t think I’d like him at all & didn’t care much for him in week 1. He is really growing on me though, he seems like a genuine guy, very nice & down to earth. He is quickly becoming a favorite of mine.

Yes this group reminds me of a High School Reunion gone Bad. Then you have Jerry as the principal everyone makes fun of when he leaves the room but yet are still scared of him. April & Ollie are the oversexed teanagers that can’t keep thier hands off of eachother. Renny is the clown. Memphis the cool guy, Jessie the DUMB Jock, Libra the leader of the pack that controls by intimadation, Angie the “normal” one, Michelle the kid from the worng side of the tracks acting all tough, Dan the “real guy” who is smart, kind, and funny, and Keesha, the puppy dog who just wants to belong somewhere…anywhere. I thik that about sums it all up and for that great post I think I deserve to win beacsue as Jessie would say…I insirpe all of you. J/K

Ginny - I’m with ya’ll on Dan. When I heard the soundbites before the season I was like ugh - haaaaaaaaate. But he’s really a nice guy all the way around. I hope some of them decide to just go their own way and take out Jessie.
Numberwise - if Memphis, Libra, April, Renny and Jerry vote to evict Jessie, he’ll be walking out the door. Screw this ‘voting with the house’ crap.

Sheri - They started that back in BB8 or at least that’s when I remember it becoming such a big deal - it was something of a mob mentality, no ‘hinky votes’ allowed. It’s such bs! Need to vote yaself, not what everyone else does!
I’m still hoping Renny can work some magic, I know she wants Jessie out of there big time. And no matter what Keesha says, her nominating Angie was out of jealousy and personal reasons. There’s nothing strategic there at all.

I love that they have a variety of ages in the BB house this year, I just think they need to fire the people that chose the houseguests. If you need meds to get through the day, maybe you shouldn’t be locked in a house with 12 strangers.
And why do you think that the people who say they are the good people, are not?
And one last thing, CBS needs to edit better, I just saw a post on a messageboard talking about what a great guy Jerry is!

Tarri - I dunno, I kinda like Jerry. Sure, he’s a dirty old man, but he’s amusing as hell. Granted, I tend to like the oddballs.
Editing is always a tricky business, of course. Most of us with they’d pick better moments and make people understand in 60 minute blocks the same things we feed freaks do!
Sue - I dunno, but I think I’d pay good money to watch Jessie try to figure it out, and end up tangled all to hell in the yarn… Although, giving that bunch pointy sticks might be a BAD idea.

Here is the funny thing. The house guest seam to still think the live show is on Wed. For those of you don’t know CBS has swithced it back to Thursdays starting this week. If they don’t tell them of the change I can’t wait to see them all freak out and wondering what is going on or if this is a twist.
I REALLY hope they all see the light and stop thinking with the mob mentality and vote Jessie out on Thursday. IT would be priceless to see his reaction. At first I thought he would get booed by the live audience but now I think about it they may go wild with excitment. I know I would be all giddy and cheering!

Wow I wish I had the feeds. I think it is horrible that CBS took all the vidoes off. The Earthquake sounded kind of scary. I was in LA in March and if it would have happend to me I would have FREAKED out! Who do you like for the new AP? I like Dan but I don’t want to screw him like it did Eric. All I know is I hope Jessie is gone. If not maybe we should vote him. Everyone would wonder when he grew a brain. I love posting but can you tell I REALLY REALLY want to win! I’ll be watching it agian here in a bit on my own tv - but according to a commenter at BBDish, the banner was not bb related, but said “Happy birthday ____! We (heart) you!)”
I miss the videos too - hoping it gets resolved soon.
The “Libra is a liar” from the banner was made up by Memphis, Michelle, Jessie - Angie was honest and said she couldn’t see it clearly enough. They used it to try and sway Keesha.

Congrats on your 50th comment though! I LOVED the banner thing. Too funny. I am looking forward to today and seeing how they react when there is no show. Some are already smart and figuring something is up (Angie) others are blowing it all off too easily and once nothing happend this morning it will set them into a tail spin. I wonder how they would have reacted if we hadn’t had the Earthquake since that seams to be the reason they think everythign is being delayed.

I thought last season’s HG were immature, these people take the cake! I really had high hopes for this season and am a bit disappointed. I’ll still watch becasue there is nothing else on, but CBS has got to do a better job casting next time.
Still pulling for Angie to stay, but it’s not looking good. Don’t think she wants to be there anymore anyway. Go anybody! but April or Libra.

It is rumored they did another episode of Craig Ferguson. They are now on lockdown for the next 24 hrs which leads to strong suspisions that tom night HOH will be endurance. That is what I gathered from other sites.

Since I have found more obsessed friends, here is a question I have been pondering since last nights episode. If they have to go inside on lockdown when a banner flies over, what do they do if they are on an OUTSIDE lockdown with a competition or something and one flies over?

Kim - yup. Long lockdown usually means endurance. It’s usually not till the week 5 hoh, but with one less houseguest this season, it’s possible they’re doing it this week.
Karen - probably from a strategic standpoint, yeah, however Angie hasn’t done anything to show she’s a stronger player. Keesha’s whole nomination is based on jealousy, and whether that works to her favor or not, it’s just not good gameplay and that bugs me. Sides, I’d rather look at Angie then Jessie. *L*
And also - the banner that flew over in BB8 and changed the game (Erik and Amber are liars, LNC=Nerd Herd) they were outside in the middle of an endurance competition. (The bat hang) They cut the feeds, and put blindfolds on. They were told not to look - but of course they did. They make an effort to get them to keep their head down and quit looking, but it obviously is much more difficult that way.
If on an outdoor lockdown, they’d clear out the crew inside, raise the door, and get them in asap. But it does make for a good chance they’ll actually get to read the banner.

You know what REALLY bugs me about this group? THe mentality that you have to completely shun the other side. You don’t see Angie, Memphis, Michelle, and Jessie saying they can’t hang out with the other side - but the Plastics (ala Mean Girls) are all about “How dare you hang out with them! They’re not part of our group!” and that’s just bloody INSANE. I wanna kick them all, everytime they get up on their high horses. Like now with Jerry and his apology to Memphis. Le sigh.

Essa- I completely agree about the Mob mentality. I am not likeing Keesha right now for jsut that and her double standard. She was SO pissed when they did that to her aout Steven yet she is turning around and doing it to them. Plus I thinkit is SO stupid that she wants Angie out so badly. Purly personal and not the best srategic move (esp w/ a very possible Endurance Comp coming up). We all know how personal moved kill you in this game. I feel sorry for Jerry and kind of hope he goes next week so he doesn’t have to be in sequester with these people. I don’t think he has any chance to win and he would have to live with the sharks and crazies for no reason. Lets jsut get in out of there and rescue the poor guy. THey are going to eat him alive.

I forogto to add the way the girls bash everyoen and stir stuff up and get so pissed if you even TALK to the “other side” reminds me why I am glad I don’t have girls. They can be SO mean. They are acting liek 10-13 yr old girls who are the worse at that. I have 2 boys and my husband really wants a girl. If we were to try again I think I really would rahter ahve My 3 Sons than a girl. Sure I would be sad about not having a mother daughter relationship when htey are older, getting married, and haivng kids but I think the pre teen and teenage years woould kill me!

I actually don’t enjoy Big Brother (I KNOW, I’m SORRY) but every time I flip by it I’m amazed by the host. Doesn’t it seem like she should be doing serious news? But she’s doing Big Brother. Amazing.

Why doesn’t the Memphis gang try and grab Jerry, Renny, and Dan for their side and just boot out Jessie? They are going to have choose bewtween the two. Try and make the floaters see that they are next. It’s a numbers game eventually, so they would have better odds at the HOH comp. The mean group would only have 3 votes this week, since Keesha is HOH. Sorry but I don’t see Libra or April being strong physical threats, if it is an endurance challenge.

Kim - I have two girls, but I’ve been pretty lucky. It’s all in the way you raise them, I think, and my teenage girl has some pretty good friends, and very solid ideas about not being ‘plastic’, which makes me quite happy. I also have a son, and yeah, boys tend to be easier, until they’re bigger then you. *L*
EG - that’s alright, we’ll forgive you. My dad hates the show too! *g* Julie Chen, however, does do serious news. She’s a co-host on CBS Early Show - where she mixes the fluff with the more serious interviews, and married to the head executive at CBS. She simply loves Big Brother, and has hosted it since the first season.
JennyGirl - a good idea in theory, but Michelle will never vote against Jessie, Jerry gave Jessie his word, Renny is firmly under Keesha’s thumb, and Dan is trying not to be a target. Everyone is too scared to shake up the house, and the mob mentality rules. Sigh.

I just wanna yell at them “HELLO he HAS to go!” Lessa- you are SO right, it all about how you raise your kids! There are also men out there like Jessie and Matt from last year. I would be horrified if my boys turned out like that!

Oh Lessa I am banging my head against the wall. Where do they get these people. You would think that at least one or two of them would have voted for JEssie just to see the pack turn on itself trying to figure out who did it. I actualy hope Jessie wins tonight even though I can’t stand him just to teach the spineless flock a lesson. Argh I am so frustrated.

Yah I saw that after I wrote that LOL. I was afriad they would pick Libra and it would put him in a tough spot. Now it will be easy sailing for him since Jessie is already April’s goal. I was afraid she might actauly keep her promsie to Michelle and Dan would be stuck with the whole having to have her break her word thing. But as we all known your word during HOH educrance is about as good as my kids used diaper. So now I am happy with Dan’s position. Hecan be AP and still come out looking good

They don’t know about America’s Player - they’ve just been making guesses because there hasn’t been a big twist yet this season. They expect something, and they all watched season 8, so AP is the most logical thing for them to expect.
They know nothing though. You could fart in that house and be accused of being AP. *L* These are the same people who INSIST that the earthquake was fake.
