Big Brother Craze

So, while we’re waiting for more interview videos to be posted (Ross will have the Women of Big Brother today, and we’re still waiting on Mark from Reality Wanted, and BB Alumni Diane from CBS2 - and don’t forget Bunky and Keesha at WLBB, their first call in show is tonight!) I know you all are DYING to know what I think of the cast, right? Because I’m never wrong in my snap superficial judgments… (/sarcasm! Hee!) Dying to know or not - here we go:

Braden:
Srsly? Is this guy for real? He can’t act, he’s already got nudie pics being shared around, he’s dumber than a stump, so much so that he makes up his own words and doesn’t know the meaning of simple ones like “pet peeve” - this does not mean your “favorite” pizza, man, it’s something you hate about others. I’m blond and I know this! Nothing is more telling than his bio which says he’s “boastful of his self-perceived intelligence.” Nothings worse then an idiot thinking he’s smart. I’m fully prepared to hate this guy.

Kevin:
The season’s token gay! And he’s “Ghetto Fabulous”! It could go either way with this one. I liked Dustin at first too, until he went all douchebag on us in season 8. And Josh, well, he kinda gave the bitchy fags a bad name. Could Kevin redeem the bitchy tag and make it watchable and fun without delving into cruel and idiocy? Time will tell! I like getting my bitch on as much as the next person, so hopefully he’ll live up to the hype. I could go either way with Kevin, but on the small things I’ve seen so far, he makes me laugh, and that’s a good thing.

Laura:
Oy. Another Bikini model, this one with a Tramp Stamp. My first thought is that she’s BB8 Jen v2, but the saving grace is that Laura is at least a Big Brother Fan. She wants to use her body as a secret weapon, but how secret is it if it’s mostly undressed in a bikini? Just sayin’. I’m fully prepared to dislike her intensely, while oogling her massive cleavage.

Enjoy! And I’ll be here at showtime with the live show recap in the next post. Currently in the house, it’s been a typical day - not a lot of scrambling for votes, just cleaning and getting ready and the like. But you know what they say - expect the unexpected!

Of past houseguests, that is? As we all know, Dr. Will Kirby has been doing stints on that new show Dr. 90210, and we’ve seen the rest of Chill Town, Boogie make appearances there too. That appearance netted them a tie vote and a Realtini for the best Showmance with our beloved Eric and Jessica at the Fox Reality TV awards last fall. I’ve never watched that show (I know – what kind of Reality Queen am I?) but tonight, after a new episode of another show that I avidly watch, I was in for a little surprise – and so are you!

We’ve all been eagerly awaiting Evel Dick’s appearance on LA Ink, which has yet to air. However – for those die hard fans, NEXT TUESDAY, one of the LA Ink girls, Pixie, discovers that having a Tattoo removed is more painful then having one put on. And who is doing the removal?

You guessed it – Dr. Will himself will be talking about laser tattoo removal and seeing to removing one of Pixie’s many tattoos!

So tune in to TLC next Tuesday, January 29th to see Dr. Will in action! And, of course, to discover why Pixie wants that particular tattoo removed of the dozens that she has. It’s sure to make an interesting story and episode!

Still no word for sure when the episode will play of Dick’s visit and tattoo (He gets tattoo’d by Hannah, and Daniele gets a small matching piece as well.) but as soon as I hear or see the previews, I’ll let you know.

Be sure to check out the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the morning, too! Eric, Jessica and Dustin will be there, and around 9:20 am (EST) they’ll be interviewed by the one, the only, Neil Patrick Harris! (If you live under a rock - NPH was Doogie Howser, and currently starts on How I Met Your Mother.)

Erick, Jessica and Dustin will be sitting in the VIP section to enjoy the parade. I’ll be on the lookout for clips of their interview (so someone, capture and upload, huh?) and will share it if I find it.

No transcript of the show, because YouTube is just so much easier! Here’s Julie Chen’s appearance from last night on The Late Show with David Letterman. Keep in mind that Dave is no fan of reality TV.

Just a couple of quick news bites today.

First, Julie Chen’s appearance on Letterman has been postponed until June 28th. So go now and update your Tivo settings! Guests have been bumped this week and CBS played a rerun of the show last night because David Letterman recently broke his nose and had to have it reset.

Also, according to the person I spoke with at Showtime, ShoToo is not available in Canada and there are no plans to make it so. They didn’t know if any of the Canadian networks were planning to pick up Big Brother: After Dark either. I’m still working on this one, but if anyone has any information to share please let me know in the comments section, or send me an e-mail by clicking on the “Contact Me” link on the right.

Julie Chen, David Letterman, Big Brother, Big Brother After Dark

If you’ve got an appetite for every tidbit of BB news you can find, tune into the Early Show on Monday morning (June 18th) on CBS. Apparently there will be a “mention” of the show and what’s in store. I doubt we’ll get much info yet since the houseguests haven’t been sequestered - sequester date is rumoured to be June 25th, the same day that Julie Chen is appearing on Letterman.

I’ll be recording the show and providing a transcript if there is indeed a segment on Big Brother.

Update: False alarm. Next week looks promising though!

Julie Chen, our beloved ChenBot and host of Big Brother, will be one of David Letterman’s guests on Monday, June 25th. The Late Show with David Letterman airs on CBS (naturally!) at 11:30pm Eastern.

I’ll be recording it so that I can give you a transcript the following day. Hopefully Julie will give us at least a little something to ponder over about the new season of Big Brother!

I’m also keeping an eye on The Early Show schedule to find out when the new cast will be revealed. Stay tuned!
