The locked Room = Steel! (Updated!)
Wednesday, July 1st, 2009
This just in! Associated Press just posted an article on Google, about the houseguests. Much of it are things we know already - but here’s the scoop on that Locked Room:
“This season, the California-themed “Big Brother” dwelling will go green with several eco-friendly touches including organic soap in the bathroom, energy-producing exercise bikes in the gym and composting bins in the backyard. Executive producer Allison Grodner teased that one of the three bedrooms, a jungle-themed enclave, will feature a nasty surprise.
“It is a room that will test their resolve,” Grodner said during a recent tour of the newest “Big Brother” house. “I will go out on a limb and say that it is the worst room to sleep in any `Big Brother.’ After 11 seasons, that’s saying a lot. This is a special treat for the houseguests. Each week, one group of houseguests will end up in this room.””
And you all thought the Pool Room would be bad!
UPDATE! Julie Chen (AND OMG BABYBOT BABYBUMP!) has her house tour up with the first glimpse of the “jungle room” which doesn’t look very jungle-y, but DOES look uncomfortable as hell, AND the Right hand shower has NO HOT WATER.
If your banished to the locked room, you’re also banished to using only the cold shower! BRRR!
And yay! someone put it up on youtube!

Confirmation - WLBB has just gotten off the phone with Allison - NOT jungle Themed, but as Julie shows it - beds of steel, etc. Ouch!
UPDATE: Here’s the interview with WLBB that they just finished!
.
The highlights:
Four groups of three
Not like season 9 soulmates where BB forced them together
This is still an individual game
Big Brother created a system where you want to be in the ‘in-crowd’
Each player wants the perks of being in the in-crowd
If one member of a clique wins Head of Household, other members of that clique cannot be nominated
Allison did not say a room had a ‘jungle theme’
Third bedroom is ‘one of the worst rooms in Big Brother history’
Instead of traditional Food Competitions, there are now ‘Have and Have Not’ competitions
Losers of the Have and Have Not competition are subject to worst living conditions in BB history
Have Nots subject to a cold room, cold showers, food restrictions, and bright lights that never turn off
No details regarding the 13th Mysterious Houseguest will be released until July 9th
Starting second week, viewers will decide the food restriction
The Have Nots will get slop in addition to America’s food restriction
The exercise bikes and lightbulbs might come into play later this summer

Nick and Jen (BB8) are still together, in the oddest coupling to have made it out of BB yet - or close to it anyway, as it seems that Ollie and April are still together as well. Word on the street is that they’re living together now. April’s Myspace is still set to private, and they have lain pretty low since the end of the show. We do know, however, that April will be playing for the Lingerie Football League.

Did you miss the interview? That’s ok - I gotcha covered. Or rather, some nice fella who put them up on youtube does. *L* They’re all below for your viewing pleasure.

Wow. Today is the last day of BB10. It’s hard to believe, isn’t it? 71 days ago the houseguests entered the house. 67 days ago we flipped on the feeds for the first time, and began our complete hamster watching experience with so many conversations it was hard to keep track of…
So thank you, from the bottom of my heart, and know that we’re not done here. I’m hoping for BBC interviews, and I’ll post the post finale official interviews, as we watch our hamsters resume their normal lives. So keep checking back, I’ll still be here and I look forward to sharing the Big Brother experience with you all once more for Big Brother 11 - whenever that might be.
Ted is huge.
6:44 - Sushi in the Storage Room!
-:25 As is a grand old tradition of TWO whole past seasons, I will be here to recap the recap ‘never before seen footage’ show. I know. I’m easily amused. or just too used to recapping show times I can’t stop. I wonder if I should seek help for that….
