Big Brother 10

Good Morning, Feed Freaks!

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

I ended up in bed early last night, and darn it all if I didn’t miss some hilarity! When I last left the houseguests, Jerry and Angie had hugged it out and gotten their little tiff resolved, and there was no game talk going on, just general chitchat. I’ve not quite gotten onto my BB Sleep Pattern, so there will be a few hiccups over the next week while I get used to surviving on 4 hours a night again. Seriously - houseguests that stay up late AND get up early? Harumph.

The biggest thing I missed last night, aside from Michelle trying to sleep with Jessie, and giving up and Jessie talking a bit about his travels and such, was the Sock Puppet Show. Brian, Angie, Memphis, Dan and Steve decided to make sock puppets, and do a performance, in the diary room. I….can’t even explain it all, or how funny it is. Luckily, I don’t have too, because BBDish folks have that button pushing vid capture DOWN. Check it out!

And then, afterwards, Brian and Dan connect again, and the whole sock puppetshow was about votes - if it works? It’d be FANTASTIC. Come on, houseguests! You know you want him to stay! Well, except the party poopers who are offended by anyone spending half a second with Brian. *L*

FYI! I’ll be in and out all day today, I’ll be here for a partial as it happens recap during the show tonight, but leave with about 15 minutes to go, and will finish it later. Of course, we already know what will happen, as it’s POV and POV Ceremony tonight.

It’s all fun and games…

Tuesday, July 15th, 2008

…until someone gets hurt. Not physically (at least, not yet! haha!) but some folks are getting awfully sensitive up in the BB house, and others just don’t know how (or when) to let it go. Sheesh. Nothing spoilery here, just good old-fashioned drama.

The houseguests decided to play charades, and Jerry was giving them the movie titles to act out. He gives Angie “Psyho” and adds that it’s perfect for her, which sends her into the house crying afterwards, because he called her psycho and everyone thinks the same and… gee, honey, that sounds a little bit psycho.

But it gets worse from there. Brian goes in to check on her, then Michelle comes in too. She asks Michelle to give her a minute, then spoke to Brian again - cue Michelle Meltdown, because clearly that was suspicious and how dare she tell her to go and keep on talking to Brian! GASP! I’ve always said the BB house is like high school, and they keep on proving me right. She confronts Michelle - after catching her outside laughing while smoking a cigarette, that bitch! - and keeps on going and going and going about how offended she was with being told to go then someone else being allowed in.

….I know.

Jerry just now went and apologized, though it was in his typical gruff way and how could she think he’d think that of her or want to hurt her it was a game… he sounded angry that she’d dare take it that way. She accepted the apology, and he went upstairs to cool off. heh. Angie has just joined him and explained it more and they’re quite and alone and it’s going much better. Paranoia does funny things. He was hurt that she thought he’d hurt her, and she didn’t want him to know about it at all because she knew it was crazy.

Vaguely spoiler stuff after the cut!

First, second and third impressions…

Dude. This group is playing the game hot out of the gate - I don’t recall anyone else in my whole 2 seasons of feed watching seeing them so into the intrigue this fast. CornerOffice was right - these guys know the game, though they are making some mistakes - but really it’s fun as hell to watch.

Even as people say they’re best friends and gonna keep their integrity and that makes them the enemy. Ha. Too funny!

So, after watching and listening in all morning and afternoon, the alliances are starting to fall into place. I’ll put it after the cut!

Update from the Powers That Be!

Monday, July 14th, 2008

BBCcp_1.jpg

Hey guys! If you’ve made it here, HURRAY! 451 Press has had to rebuild the servers from the ground up over the past weeks, and Big Brother Craze has suffered for it, as well as many other places. Not good right before the premiere, right?! However, we got word this morning that after this week, we should be back with bells on, permanently! Here’s the message from our sponsor:

OK, last week I was in Atlanta installing our new servers. Everything is installed and powered up. This week expect to have a lot of downtime. We will be moving sites and databases all this week. We will also be upgrading to the newest version of WordPress. The plan is to have everything moved and back up and working 100% before COB on Friday. As of today I feel really good that we will reach this goal.

Thanks

What’s that mean to you, my faithful readers? it COULD mean waiting another week for my snark, but it doesn’t! Nope! In fact, I have been covering Big Brother at another site, and would love for you to join me over there for the duration. You can find me at RealityDaze.com, where I’m doing my usual daily blatherings and snarking and picking on the houseguests. I will double post items here as often as I can until we’re stable - and I’ll spend the morning getting up as much of the stuff I can until we’re current again!

So - put this in your bookmarks: RealityDaze.Com and check us out - if you can’t get here, I’ll be over there. Miss you ALL! So come and play!

Saturday, July 12th, 2008

I was wandering around the new Big Brother forums at CBS.com to see how improved they were (answer: very! Many folks are complaining, but that always happens with any change. They are much faster now, at the very least!) and as I was heading elsewhere, I noticed a new little button on the Big Brother Homepage! Check it out!

Yup, that’s right, the link for the new Live TV Challenge is there! I hit the link, (you can too - tap the image above!) signed up (Painless!) and checked out the page again. The playnow link is live, but you can’t play until the start of the premiere.

I tried to download the mobile version to check that out for you all too, but it’s not available for my phone/service. Perils of living in Alaska! If one of you checks it out, let us know how it works and if it’s worth it, will ya?

There’s also some new pictures of the house floating around, with more of the same rooms. (Click to bigafy!)

The test patterns are running on the feeds, and I’ve got my BBReloader up and ready and I’m all set… are you?

And hey… is it Sunday yet?!? Two more days, folks!

Cast Photos!

Friday, July 11th, 2008

Gotta love the first pictures of the season - they all look so happy and like they like each other… mostly. *grin*

And as if that isn’t enough, and you know it never is - there’s a bundle of quicky 2 minute interviews from CBS on Youtube. Jessie and Michelle, Libra, Keesha and Ollie, Dan and Remmy, Steven, Memphis, April, Jerry, Angie, and Brian. Whew!

Carolyn over at BBDish has a couple interviews from BB9 houseguests up! Chelsia and Sheila - check it out!

In other news - Zach (BB8) knows Keesha, and Chelsia - as mentioned in her interview, knows Jessie! And hey, Jen of BB8 ‘fame’ is talking about the season with MSN again, and has her take on the new houseguests up - it’s funny, and yes, truly Jenuine.

Whew! Only 3 more days until we’re full on into the Big Brother Craze! Remember, if the top post here at Reality Daze is not BB Related - click the link up above or to the right and it’ll take you straight to the all Big Brother Section of Reality Daze. Let the countdown continue!

Happy 4th, everyone!

Friday, July 4th, 2008

Baby with the coonskin hat?Hope you’ve enjoyed your day with the three Fs - family, friends and fireworks! The site seems stable for the moment, so I’m going to go ahead and post this while I can. Please don’t forget us here at BigBrotherCraze - rest assured I’m nagging the hell outa the server to make sure we’re up and running and in tiptop shape before the premiere at the absolute latest!

In the meantime, according to the TV Guide, we’ll get our first ‘official’ look at the houseguests Tuesday Morning on the Early Show with Julie Chen, and on Friday, Julie will give us the official tour of the house. It’s quite possible that TVGuide.com or another official source will spill the houseguest beans the night before like they have in the past, too - we’ll be on the lookout for sure!

We’re down to single digits! This means, of course that we only have 9 days to sleep, clean, remind our kids we love them, kiss the hubby without straining to watch the feeds/tv through the reflection in his glasses, sleep, stock up on late night snackables, and - oh yeah! - sleep!

Let the madness begin!

PS - some more news on the possible houseguests mentioned below. Someone at Sucks claims to have information on the Socialite - her sister is visiting and had tried out for BB in New Orleans. She says she was standing next to who she believes is the New Orleans Socialite - a very over the top women with a big personality. A big brunette hairdo, with a Bette Midler walk in platform sandals, big diamond jewelry and a thick accent - nice looking with an ok figure. Her sister figured her for a shoe-in the minute she saw her.

Fact or fiction? We’ll find out in a few days!

Possible Cast Reveal?

Thursday, July 3rd, 2008

BB10_1.jpgA poster over at Reality BBQ who has been right many times in the past couple of seasons has given Spammy his list of the houseguests! If he’s right on the money as he was last year and the year before (He gave the décor of the house days before the release, also told us of America’s Player and the pre-premiere eviction of Sharon/Jacob, among other things, all days before any information was officially released) then we have a mighty diverse group of people currently in sequester - especially age-wise. The age-range reported is 22-75!

Here’s what he said:
The casting is going to have a slightly conservative vs. liberal angle.
- A recently divorced Koren-American tomboy.
- A 35 year old gay rodeo cowboy who’s a bit prejudiced himself.
- A 25 year old who doesn’t consider himself a bartender.
- A 53 year old New Orleans socialite.
- A 31 year old who’s from a predominantly white neighborhood, she’s a black mother of 3 and an Obama supporter in Bush country. She has a pair of rare twins.
- The son of a Pentecostal preacher.
- A 24 year old teacher in an all boys Catholic school. He would move out of the country if Hillary were President.
- …and a few more. Thirteen in all. Don’t want to give you all the secrets!

Here are all the names:
Renny
Dan
Steven
Michelle
Libra
The person most likely to be an early target: Jesse (Jessie?), 22.
Ollie
Jerry, 75, is the self-professed biggest Big Brother fan in the world. Everyone will love Jerry!
Memphis
Keesha, 29, blond bombshell who works at Hooters. Reminds us of Danielle D.
Angie
April
Brian

So - if that dude doesn’t consider himself a bartender, what DOES his consider himself? And 75? Holy cow. I do remember earlier during casting for BB10 that rumors about them looking for a Gay Cowboy through the Gay Rodeo Association were flying rampant, so that one certainly seems possible. He was said to be kind of a tool, a flirt who gets along with most, and wears wranglers and cowboy hats to work all the time.

The folks over at Reality BBQ are now searching Myspace for possible, and may have found Keesha and Dan. We’ll know in a few days for sure, of course, but it’s oddles of fun to speculate while we wait!

What do you think of the rundown of houseguests above? Will we all really love Jerry?! Either way, kudos to CornerOfficeX - and keep the info coming - I’ll keep posting it asap. (Keep in mind we’re still under ’server problem high load’ land. Sigh.)

Allison Grodner talks to WLBB!

Tuesday, July 1st, 2008

BB10_1.jpgFirst - a little BBC announcement. You’ve probably noticed that there’s been some server issues with us here at 451Press. I’m posting when I can as soon as I can, and we’ve been assured that the powers that be are working on the servers and have ordered all new equipment. We should be up and running smooth before the premiere - and as often as I can post before then, I will. If you can’t get through, or get high load warnings, please keep trying - it will work soon. Thanks!

Now, the good stuff!

That’s right - we’re all so eager for news, ANY news, and now we have a bit! We Love Big Brother spoke with Allison Grodner today and got some tidbits about the new season. The houseguests aren’t in the house yet, but Allison was watching it during the interview as cleaning crews put the finishing touches on it. Some things that are absolutely verified now:

There are 13 houseguests.
The houseguests are complete strangers.
The houseguests are diverse in backgrounds, points of view and ages.

According to Grodner:

“We have a wide range of ages this year,” she said. “There’s young, there’s old, there’s in between, there’s parents, there’s students, there’s people with white collar jobs, blue collar jobs. It’s all very different. We’ve got a lot of very specific types of people in this house, and people who have very extreme points of view than maybe we’ve had in the past.”

She said the house will also reflect this diversity.
“This year [the house] reflects the cast in all the different places and eras they come from,” she said. “It’s a very different house, it’s not our winter house. This is a very different thing and it goes with the cast.”

She also confirmed the live audiences, though it will be different then the in Big Brother 1, and they worked hard to include successful elements from the show’s past. And then there’s the twist - which she wouldn’t reveal, but said it will play out from the very first day. Says Allison:

“The game starts before these people even enter the house,” she hinted. “Expect the unexpected. Expect a completely different Big Brother from what you’ve seen this past year.”

The houseguests will be arriving in town soon, and going through press interviews in the upcoming week. There will be twists and turns, of course, along the way.

You can listen to the interview in its entirety below:

Less then two weeks to go, ya’ll!

Still with the Evel Dick Love… and House Calls too!

Sunday, June 29th, 2008

bb8dick.jpgThis morning over at MySpace, Evel Dick is feeling sassy and has a whole bunch of little tidbits about Big Brother 10, HouseCalls, and even the now expected dig at Erik and Jessica. So what’s he up too?

Everyone loved his video blogs for RealPlayer last year, so we can expect more of the same on a bigger scale. (Ok, everyone except you. And maybe you. And you over there in the corner too, but we’ve been ignoring you for a long time and stop sucking your thumb already. And you over there too. LOTS of people, then - not everyone. Happy? *grin*) ANYWAY. This year while the feeds are down for the live broadcasts on Wednesdays, we’ll have something to watch instead of the screen saver and endless loop of the theme song.

Evel Dick will be broadcasting a “loosely put together show of sorts” live from the Cat Club on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood. He’ll have guests, friends, random people - not just past houseguests. He says that some of the guests we’ll recognize, want to have, or want to punch. He’s going to be interviewing big fans of the show that have some type of celeb status or another.

If you don’t have the feeds, and are wondering if this is worth checking into them for, you’ll get to see the first two shows for free, available to everyone. If you like the “trainwreck in the making [he's] calling a show”, it’ll start July 16th.

The deal with Showtime for a Dick at Night show before/after Afterdark fell through due to things out of his control, but we will get more of Dick on Housecalls on Thursdays! This year Housecalls is on at Noon PST, and Evel Dick will be co-hosting with Gretchen on Thursdays where he promises he will get to speak to evicted houseguests. Of course, we’ve heard that last part before, so we’ll see what happens.

Also co-hosting Housecalls this year? Sheila from BB9 (Know that!) will be joining Gretchen on Wednesdays. Not sure who has returned for the other days just yet, but I’ll be sure to let you know as soon as I know.

One last tidbit from Evel Dick - the live eviction audiences will not include past houseguets. They want them to be different then the finale, where all past houseguests are welcomed and invited. So it’ll be all fans, all the time, watching our beloved Chenbot oust a houseguest every week!

TWO MORE WEEKS!

So, what do we know?

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

chenbot.thumbnail.jpgI think the best part of the season, of any Big Brother season, is the two weeks or so before the premiere. We’re all so giddy with anticipation that THIS season will be the BEST season. It’s that tingly feeling we get way deep inside that’s full of hope. We’re roaming the net, hoping for someone, anyone in the know to tell us what they know - even if it’s just so that we can begin the endless debate.

So what do we know? Here’s the compilation of all the rumors I’ve heard bantered around. Keep in mind that they are rumors, and we won’t know anything for sure until it happens, but some of the sources seem to be pretty reliable. However, if they turn out to be completely wrong, don’t shoot the messenger, eh?

1. 13 houseguests - source, the commercial. Could BB be lying to us? Absolutely.

2. Season Premiere July 13th - source, CBS.

3. Network broadcasts will follow BB9 structure, Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday nights.

4. There will be a live audience for the live eviction shows on Wednesday nights, and our beloved Chenbot will host, as always.

5. As I reported before, a gentleman who said that he made it to the top 35 posted at jokers was given his ‘regrets’ call to say he didn’t make it, so we can assume that all the houseguests have been contacted and are en route to CA and sequester if they are not there already (We’ve also heard that they are there already… and It’s also been reported that one finalist has quit already, and another flown in to take their place.)

6. Each room is decorated as if it came from a different ere/decade - 60s, 70s, 80s. I mentioned that before as well, as it came from Crazy James. That fits with the speculation that…

7. We’ll have a wider array of ages then we’re used too - 20s, 30s 40s and even one guy in his 60s. (How cool would it be if it were 3 - 20 somethings, 3 - 30 somethings, 3 - 40 somethings, 3 - 50 somethings and that one 60s fellow being our number 13?)

8. Because of the odd number of houseguests, 13, there’s speculation that we’ll have other houseguests entering the house throughout the season - complete rumor, I’ve heard nothing to substantiate it.

9. None of the houseguests are from previous seasons, and I’ve heard it said a couple of places that none of them know each other, either. But we’ve heard that last part before, huh?

10. The Twist - it’s been held EXTREMELY close, and even the one fellow who posted anonymously over with my BB-blogging BFF, Carolyn at BBDish, even he would only toss out a tidbit for us to gnaw on. He said:

Alli Grodner was quoted on BB9 finale night as saying “you will love it” regarding the twist of BB10. I know that I can’t speak for all of you, but as a die-hard Big Brother fan, I can say with complete honesty that she was telling the truth. This twist has been held very close to the vest and as a result it’s too risky to leak it all (I know, I’m sorry!) but I can tell you this much: it twist involves mirrors and a “disappearing room.”

HOW cool does that sound? A disappearing room? Here’s hoping it’s something fantastically cool. This same person also said that the houseguests were already in sequester as of the past weekend, though he had heard no reason for it being so early. He assumes it is so more detailed promos can be filmed and ready to air.

11. Together again - just as I said to begin with, it means nothing other then Summer + Big Brother = Together again.

12. The houseguests are all “Opposites”. The Joker’s dude who got to top 35 said that each houseguest will have an opposite in the house as well. It will be some hot-button issue, like religion, hunters vs. PETA, politics, vegetarians, etc. This falls into line with the rumors during casting that members of PETA were being recruited.

And lucky number 13 (yes, I totally did that on purpose. *L*). We know that no matter what, how good or how bad it gets, that I’ll be here watching and reporting it all here at Big Brother Craze - and that’s one rumor that I can 100% confirm!

Season 10 Cast contacted today!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008

BB10_1.jpgThat’s right, someone at Jokers has the inside scoop, as he made it all the way to the top 35 this year! He’s pretty disappointed to have gotten the ‘regrets’ phone call, but that didn’t stop him from getting us some good info from him!

The poster, DaCoach7, says that the timeline he’d been given would see the houseguests heading off to sequester early next week, where they’ll spend 4-5 days doing photoshoots, etc. That’s about the time we’ll get to see the inside of the house, and then the houseguests identities will be released the week before the premiere. Seems it’s going to be a show of opposite opinions – DaCoach7 is a hunter, and figured he would be pit against a PETA member – there were other rumors spread earlier in casting that BB was looking for a PETA member, so that falls into line with what we’ve already heard. Other possible categories were politics, religion, vegetarians and such.

He also confirms a wide range of finalists – women in their 40s-50s, and even a man in his 60s. He heard no talk of BB11, so no clue if we’ll do another winter edition next year. He couldn’t pinpoint a certain twist – just that there were a lot of polarized personalities. He also said there would be no relatives at all.

Now this could all be utter and complete bunk, but he does seem pretty well bummed that he wasn’t chosen, and some of the things he said definitely fit in with the other rumors. Here’s hoping to a nice, well rounded, controversial, argumentative cast! Less with the booty calls, and more with the conversations!

What do you think? Is this guy for real? Who’s counting the days with me?! 17 more!

18 more days!

Wednesday, June 25th, 2008

BB10_1.jpgCan you believe it? There’s less then three weeks before we once again sacrifice our lives in order to watch the lives of others as they’re reduced to the isolation and craziness of the Big Brother house! I know it seems just like yesterday that Big Brother 9 ended, but I don’t know a single fan who’s not got high hopes for this Summer Season, and once again is letting the hope build that this will be a season to outdo all others…

The rumor mills have been working overtime, but there hasn’t been much of anything new until recently. We won’t see the house until after the first of July at the earliest, but during a recent interview, James revealed that he does know a bit about it. He teased us with some of the info, but did confirm that the three rooms will have a “generation theme” - 60s, 70s, 80s. This goes along with Evel Dick, and Grodner’s comments that there will be a bigger age spread among the houseguests too, so we may see houseguests in their 40s, 30s, and of course the ever present 20-something beauty queens.

Here’s an excerpt from the interview with James:

There’s also the live eviction audience, and speculation that there because there are only 13 houseguests, that there will be intruders or other houseguests joining later. That’s all speculation, of course, and we won’t hear anything about those types of twists until the houseguests are in Sequester before entering the house. I’ll be on the lookout for the first house photos, and houseguest information though, as we gear up toward another 3 months without sleep!

Who needs sleep, anyway?

LIVE EVICTION AUDIENCE!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

BB10_1.jpgThat’s right, according to Audiences Unlimited, Inc. This season, Big Brother 10, will bump up the live factor for eviction nights by including live audiences! The first eviction is slated as Wednesday, July 16th, just three days after the premiere on Sunday, July 13th. The current dates available are:

July 16, 23, 30 and August 6, 13, 20. With 13 houseguests, that would bring us down to 7 remaining houseguests, leading some to speculate that the jury would start then, and there would be no more live audiences because they’d be going into sequester. Or, they just might not have dates posted yet - who knows?

Here’s the complete information:

Big Brother follows a group of strangers living together in a house outfitted with dozens of cameras and microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day, seven days a week. One by one, the HouseGuests will vote each other out of the house until at the end of three months, the last remaining HouseGuest will win the grand prize.

You are invited to be part of the studio audience for the LIVE weekly ‘elimination’ show where one HouseGuest gets voted out.

AUDIENCE INFORMATION: The studio audience at this show may appear on camera and appropriate dress is required. Business/Casual - no shorts, tshirts, ballcaps, etc. and please do not wear any clothing with large words, photographs or logos that may show up on camera. This is a LIVE show and ticketholders should plan on checking in at CBS no less than 90 minutes prior to show time. Guests will be asked to sign a ‘waiver’ prior to admission giving the production company permission to use your likeness on camera and also acknowledging that you are aware of and agree to comply with the specific rules and regulations of this show.

13 houseguests!

Wednesday, June 18th, 2008

BB9Logo.jpgThat’s right, boys and girls! According to the most recent commercial, we’re going to have an odd number of houseguests - 13. What could that mean? Some are already theorizing that there might be another twin twist with that number, or other houseguests coming in at some point in the season, or just it’s odd because it’s Allison Grodner. Who knows for sure? We’ve less then a month to find out though!

I’ll add the commercial as soon as it’s youtubed (it’s above!) - but in the meantime, could some of the following auditions be one of our houseguests? Time to see what kind of pain the casting directors have to go through to get us our ‘perfect mix’ cast!

All train wrecks are after the cut!
