Big Brother Craze

Hey ya’ll! I thought I’d pop in, and before I do another BBi Update, see if we can’t figure out what some Big Brotehr folks are up to. After all, it’s Thanksgiving, I am nearing a food coma, and wandering around the internets is about as energetic as I’m gonna get.

Yes, I know that’s what I do all day, every day. Hush, you.

So - Renny has taken ebay by storm - and is selling everything but the kitchen sink! Props, hats, autographs - and a ‘fly to your house, pop out of a box in a bow and have a pajama party’ package! No, I’m not kidding. Check it out! Way to work your fame, girl!

Alex (BB9) is still hoping to be on BB again, or another reality show, and appreciates the support he still feels from all his fans, while Steven, Dan, Memphis and Brian are headed to Vegas this weekend - can’t wait to see pictures of THAT group out and about!

Crazy James is not only living it up in Paris still - but has gotten engaged! On his birthday even! AND he has a REAL JOB. Inorite?!

Memphis was able to get the truck he’s always wanted - a 1970 box bronco, and will be featured in the January issue of Bronco Driver Magazine. Nice! And if you send him a self addressed envelope with a picture and stamp, he’ll autograph it and send it right back to ya!

Nick and Jen (BB8) are still together, in the oddest coupling to have made it out of BB yet - or close to it anyway, as it seems that Ollie and April are still together as well. Word on the street is that they’re living together now. April’s Myspace is still set to private, and they have lain pretty low since the end of the show. We do know, however, that April will be playing for the Lingerie Football League.

Keesha just got back to LA after a long visit home with friends and family in Ohio - with a side trip to visit Dan the Man. She and her friends even watched him teach a class! She’s doing some traveling for Hooters promotion, but isn’t back to work just yet.

Dan, as mentioned above is back to teaching - his students are keeping him on his toes, and he’s happy to be back doing what he loves. He’ll also be doing some motivational speaking in the new year, which is pretty exciting!

And while I was posting this - Last, but CERTAINLY not least - the one and only Evel Dick posted a myspace blog. He has a new show being shopped around. He mentioned filming a pilot, but the details are that it’s like Kitchen Nightmares, though for clubs and bars, with Evel Dick the night club’s answer to Gordon Ramsey. It’s called EvelDick Behind Bars, and they’ve a bunch of interviews with networks in the works. Awesome!

There ya go - there’s what some of our favorites (and not so favorites) are up too! Here’s hoping your Thanksgiving was fantastic!

Here we go - Chelsia was nice enough to answer some questions for us here at Big Brother Craze recently - enjoy!

BBC: Let’s start at the beginning! How many times have you tried out for Big Brother? What did the casting process involve for you? And, of course, what advice would you give those currently trying out for the summer season, BB10?

Chelsia:I tried out for big brother 8 because I had a rival that wanted to make the show. Before that I really didn’t know anything about big brother, and I didn’t watch reality TV. Some advice I would give is… BE YOURSELF! Don’t give them what you think they want, just be
yourself.

BBC:How much of a fan of Big Brother were you prior to auditioning? How much of the previous seasons did you watch/re-watch to help prepare you before entering the house?

Chelsia:I only watched BB8

BBC:How was your reception when you got home - friends, family, work, fans? Have you been able to catch up on the show since leaving?

Chelsia:When I got back to Iowa I was very overwhelmed. This whole experience has been so surreal. My friends and family were all very proud of me and happy that I made it home. I have not watched the season, life has been hectic I’m sure I eventually will but it’s not on the top of my list.

BBC:Many previous houseguests feel like they’re not accurately portrayed by CBS on the network shows - there’s many a discussion about getting a ‘good edit’ vs. a ‘bad edit’. How do you feel you were portrayed on the show? And naturally - do you think they’re portraying the other houseguests fairly?

Chelsia:I know that I was portrayed as a bitch; I’m ok with that because it was just a game. In real life I am not heartless, and I do not judge people.

BBC:Could you describe each of the houseguests for us - both as you knew them in the house, and any changing opinions since your eviction as you watch the show and hear of the house happenings? Many interviewers say ‘in one word’ but clearly I’m as verbose as they come, so go as in depth as you like for each of them.

Chelsia:I’m not gonna sit here and bash these people, the game is over. I think everyone knows how I feel about my houseguests. I can say that outside of the house it is very different. I went out with Sheila one night and had a blast with her. I am still very close with Joshy, and I am still talking to James. Jen has been very nice to me after the game, she understands that it is… just a game. Alex is another person that has been very nice after the game.

BBC:What was your strategy going into the game?

Chelsia:Any strategy I had went out the door when we got paired up into couples.

To be honest, I’m not really surprised with this crew, that it was so difficult to get commitments out of them - we watched them avoid making a stand for three months, after all!

where houseguests are unloading a whole bunch of things - from Natalie’s fingernail polish portraits, to slop, to keys, to hats and clothing and phone calls and oh my! There’s something for everyone!

The Dish Chicks - who I adore! - have added a new (MALE!) member to their crew - he’s The Real Deal! We’re all excited to watch TRD dish next season! His videos are some of the best, and his photo sessions with the houseguests are absolutely fantastic - be sure to check him out!

I’ll still work on getting those interviews for you - if they show up, I’ll post them ASAP. And no, I’m not gonna tell you which one’s stood me up. That wouldn’t be any fun! In the meantime, we’ll have to simply look forward to BB10 - which is coming sooner then we think! The finalists have been chosen, and in a few short weeks we’ll have a brand new crop of houseguests to watch and snark about on a regular basis! Catch up on your sleep and sunshine now, kids!

Did you see it? Today’s was James’ interview on Real Player, feed four. It was a whole bunch of the Crazy James we love! From what he’s doing now, what he plans to do in the near future, to what bars are best in what states, to Chelsia’s Dad’s death threats because of his porn past - he touched on it all. As soon as someone has it on you tube, I’ll post that here as well!

This interview proved what I’d believed about him from the very beginning - he’s just a great guy. A quote “I don’t want to be a reality douchebag. I just want to meet my fans, hug them, spread the love.” He’s got a good head on his shoulders, and good strong ideals he stands by with conviction. He’s real, and comfortable in his skin. I want my kids to have that kind of strength - though I’d be happy if they’d skip the porn part, of course. *g*

He was even cool with ‘haters’ - someone said “I think your sick, what do you say about that?” And James replied that it was awesome, he’s glad he’s out there thinking and making his own decisions. But he’s not changing just because he made one person sick. He’s not changing for anyone.

He also had advice for future houseguests: Be real, be straight up, be honest with how you portray yourself. You’ll have to lie in the game though, realize that, but be real. Call people out when they need it. I liked doing that - though I didn’t like it when they did it to me. (laugh)

There are a lot of things that he has coming up, including some video blogging and such. He’ll keep his fans up to date on his myspace, so check that out. Be aware that right now he has over 7000 friend requests in waiting, plus messages, so he’ll get to it as soon as he can.

The premiere of What Happens In Vegas was last night - and pictures are popping up all over of Ryan and Sharon as they enjoyed their luxury competition win! They clean up pretty nice, all told - though I do question the brightness of those blue shoes… then again, I’m no fashionista, so what would I know? (grin)

They are also seen a couple of times in the Access Hollywood interviews at the red carpet - you can find the video here, and I did a couple screen caps and added red arrows to make it easier to see them for you! I know, I spoil ya, but that’s ok, I like to!

I am officially jealous. Harumph.

The Big Brother 9 wrap party was last night, and pictures and videos are trickling in as I speak… er, type! I know a lot of us wish they’d show the wrap party on the feeds, but there’s good reasons for that not happening - it’s not only the wrap for the houseguests, but for production as well. Thus, everyone is off duty - no one to film it! So we rely on the kindness of those lucky folks who attend and shoot video and take pictures for all of us to enjoy!
