I don’t follow much about the other Big Brothers around the world - because really, the US version is more then enough drama for me, especially with our special Winter Session coming up! I knew there were other versions, of course, but I had no clue that Big Brother has been in 38 different countries, and some of the wild antics that have gone on - it’s the sex, lies, and videotape of current day!

Anyway - some lovely random stats for you from the show’s opener: 31 Countries, 2677 houseguests 177 houses 38 countries and 2 billion viewers! Nice to know we’re not alone in our obsession! (grin) When and where was the first Big Brother? The Netherlands in 1999 and? It would take you 14 years to watch every episode of every Big Brother around the world.

Swedes have the most sex, the cheater in UK won, but ended up divorced but who has the weirdest tasks? The Belgium’s like searching for a key in a vat of pig parts. When they ran out of cigarettes they had to blow darts at each other to get more - only the ones that STUCK resulted in the prize. They also let out 100 tarantulas into the house - the houseguests had to collect them, and one was extremely phobic. The worst part? They told them it was 100 spiders, but it was only 99. Hah. The weirdest pets? The pregnant cow in Germany, and the full-grown elephant in Thailand.

It would have to be the pregnant houseguest who delivered her baby in the Netherlands Big Brother house.

Since 1999, all around the world, houseguests have lied, cheated, were loud, were kicked out, were rude, bitched, kissed, fought, and generally made fools of themselves for our entertainment. I LOVE this show!

Advice for Applying for BB9!
So, you think you have what it takes to be locked in a house with strangers to strategize your way to winning $100k? Great! Little confused about the whole application, or want that all important insider information? Well, the folks over at Reality Wanted totally have your back! They posted an interview with BB Casting Director, Robyn Kass yesterday, getting all the scoop on what they’re looking for and what NOT to do while applying.

Boogie arrested!
Reports say that Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin was arrested in Denver at a sports bar after getting into an altercation with a woman! Apparently the big bone of contention? The fact that he was wearing his Boston Red Sox jersey, while the Rockies lost the World Series in a 4 game sweep. There’s little to be found in the way of further details, just that he was celebrating the win, and spent 15 hours in jail before making bail, for “Allegedly assaulting a waitress at a local sports bar.” His PR group says they’re working with the legal team to handle the ‘misunderstanding’.

Are the Dastardly Donatos still talking?
According to their postings on MySpace, Evel Dick and Daniele Donato are still on good terms, and on October 31st, hopped a flight to Europe, headed to celebrate their win in Dublin with some of ED’s friends. A last minute decision, they both said that’s the way they prefer to travel, and that things are going well with them. They text often, talk often and get together for the occasional meal and random flight overseas. Guess being locked up together for months and winning $550k goes a long way toward mending relationships!

Surprises
Yup. Still coming. At this point I’ll be just as surprised as you when they occur….

Hey guys - I’m still waiting on the surprise. I haven’t forgotten, and I have gotten an email saying it is still in the works! As soon as I get it, I’ll get it to you, I promise! I thought I’d have it before now, but life, life gets in the way sometimes…

However! I am taking my laptop on VACATION with me when I leave today, primarily so that when I get that surprise, you will get it right away! No kidding - I’ll be checking every chance I get, (often, as I’m staying with other computer/internet savvy folks!) and get it to you ASAP!

Do you realize that as of tomorrow, it will have been two whole weeks since we’ve gotten to peek in on the Big Brother Houseguests and laugh at our little hamsters scurrying about the House? Two whole weeks! However are we going to survive until BB9? Which is, by my calculation, an astonishing 276 days away. Oy. (What, you’re not counting down? Why ever not!)

Details: A 3 oz teacup, carried back and forth to fill up a 16 gallon tank, to raise the silver ball through the top where it can be grabbed, put in the other container and carried to the finish line. That works out to 683 trips across the slippery, slidey, pathway, which is about 7 miles of treacherous footing….

Thanks to the East Coast Viewers who are sweet enough to live stream the shows for us other coastal viewers that allows me to recap!

And here they are! Drew tells them we have flying cars, and that he’s the new Price is Right host. Amber says if she wins she’ll give the money to her family, and Daniele says she needs a car and wants to go back to school. And only one of them will get the chance to play after the first round. Here we go!

(It’s presumed that the Houseguests got to watch this broadcast last night, though they are not allowed to speak of it until their dinner tonight. Daniele was depressed, and Jessica slipped and said “because she didn’t get to see Nick?” and Dick had also made a comment about the “Nick thing” ruining her game and that she needs to let it go. She also made a comment about any viewers want to buy her a car which upset Dick and Zach both. I expected this, though was completely unsure HOW it could happen. STILL confused. *L* but here we go!)

..in the BB8 house today! After all the hustle and bustle of Friday/Saturday competitions, Sunday is the day when they all sleep in longer then normal. Jessica and Eric are still in bed - no surprise since they didn’t GO to bed until 7am or so. But before then, inbetween game talks, they got their flirt on again:

The sunbathers - Daniele, Jen, Amber and Zach - are up and soaking up some cloud covered rays, talk is of fast food and outside things, all amicable and quiet. There’s no game talk, there’s no strategy, and the only talk of tomorrow includes the fact that it’s Daniele’s birthday - where the house thinks she’ll be 22, and she’s really turning 21.

He’s repeating the same sayings over and over - that’s all he’s saying.

You know how it goes in the BB house! All the comps in the first few days and then scurrying hamsters spreading paranoia under the guise of ’strategizing’ - this week is no different. I am going to try and get through this without any spoilers, since there’s the show tonight where they’ll show the POV competition and meeting. I think I can, I think I can!

As we saw on Sundays show, Daniele won HOH and put up Jen and Kail for the third week in a row. We also saw her say to the group that she would put up Zach if the POV was used, and then we also see her and Dick putting together the grandest conspiracy theory of them all, against Eric. Clearly Eric is her real target for the week.

So what is this based on? The fun thing about seeing the feeds, and such, is that we can tell when they’re way off course, and completely delusional. So let’s gather some of their points and play a little True or False.
