An interview with Jen of BB9!

Thursday, April 10th, 2008

Here’s the another little surprise for you all! First we had Alex’s interview, then the shirts and etc from us here at Big Brother Craze to James Fans everywhere, through Cafe Press, and now… another interview!

Jen was kind enough to sit down and answer some questions for me about her time in the Big Brother House, so without further ado, here’s the Big Brother Craze interview with Jen Diturno. Enjoy!

(PS - remember, if you get a high load warning, try again in a minute or two. It’s been getting better, but it’s not perfect yet.)

I ask that you do not take the liberty of copying and pasting this interview elsewhere. You may link to it using the direct url: http://www.bigbrothercraze.com/an-interview-with-jen-of-bb9/

BBC: Let’s start at the beginning! How many times have you tried out for Big Brother? What did the casting process involve for you, and also for Ryan? At what point did they tell you that you’d both be on the show together? And, of course, what advice would you give those currently trying out for the summer season, BB10?

Jen: This was the 4th time I tried out for Big Brother. I got closer and closer every time. This last time I went to an open casting call in Columbus. Big Brother called me and asked if my boyfriend (Ryan) would be interested in doing the show too. They said they were considering doing a pairs season. Ryan never applied, just got on this through me. We knew we were going to be on the show together while going through the process. It wasn’t until they came to our home town to kidnap us, that it was official. Even then, we still did everything separate. We were never allowed to see each other or even talk to each other. We were even in different hotel rooms through the finals and sequester process too! We were treated as individuals the entire time! My advice for others trying out for Big Brother in the future would be to never give up! Big Brother casts for the theme of the season…they cast for a character. If you don’t fit the qualifications this time, maybe you will next time! If at first you don’t succeed, try try again!

BBC: As a fan of the show, how much did you watch/re-watch in order to prepare yourself to enter the house?

Jen: I didn’t do much of that. During my week of sequester, before moving into the house, we were given past season DVDs that I watched, but only because I was bored out of my mind! You can never be prepared to enter the Big Brother house…..expect the unexpected! I actually think I was at a disadvantage having watched all 8 seasons of BB because it made me play the game a little too hard!

BBC: How was your reception when you got home - friends, family, work, fans? Have you been able to catch up on the show since leaving?

Jen: I had a big homecoming party once I got off the plane! It was all very exciting and overwhelming at the same time! I have received both hate and love mail, but so have we all! I have to read things on the internet very carefully because their is a lot of haters out there! I try not to let it get to me, and I am a very strong and independent person so I am able to look past all the bullshit! Work is crazy! Constant people wanting my autograph and picture taken! It’s cool though! I feel like a broken record with the million repetitive questions that I am asked on a daily basis, but hey….it comes with the territory! My friends never thought I would come back after this! Ha ha ha….some of them even though I would come back as a different person! But I am the same Jen as I was before I left! The 15 minutes of fame has not gone to my head and it never will. I know who is important in my life and it’s all the friends, family and co-workers that have been with me my entire life! I love my fans too, but my heart belongs with my home! I have been able to catch up on the show since I have been home. I watch the feeds 24/7 of course because Ryan is still going strong! It’s weird to see him on TV and I miss him more than you know!

BBC: Many previous houseguests feel like they’re not accurately portrayed by CBS on the network shows - there’s many a discussion about getting a ‘good edit’ vs. a ‘bad edit’. How do you feel you were portrayed on the show?

Jen: For the most part, I am who I am. I like you until you cross me and I can be a bitch! I don’t back down from confrontations and I deal with problems head on and that’s exactly what I did on the show. There were a couple instances that were edited and cut in a way that made me look really bad and I don’t appreciate that, but that’s what I signed up for. I knew that could happen and all I can do now is move forward from it. The racist comment did not happen in any way, shape, or form the way it was shown to America! In fact, that was not my way of campaigning against Ryan because it was said BEFORE I was even nominated! So people (haters) can say whatever they want….Ryan and I and everyone that knows us knows how that situation really happened and that’s all that matters! The thing about me saying my picture was first b/c I was gonna win……ha ha hha ha….lol….that’s me and my sarcasm and obviously some of the houseguests just didn’t get it, or me for that matter!

BBC: And naturally - do you think they’re portraying the other houseguests fairly?

Jen: I will let other houseguests speak for themselves on this one!

An Interview with Alex of BB9!

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

Here’s the first of the little surprises I have in store for you all! Alex was kind enough to sit down and answer some questions for me about his time in the Big Brother House - he was the last to get his questions and the first to get them answered, actually. So without further ado, here’s the Big Brother Craze interview with Alex Coladonato. Enjoy!

(PS - remember, if you get a high load warning, try again in a minute or two. It’s been getting better, but it’s not perfect yet.)

I ask that you do not take the liberty of copying and pasting this interview elsewhere. You may link to it using the direct url: http://www.bigbrothercraze.com/an-interview-with-alex-of-bb9

AlexInterview.jpg

BBC: Let’s start at the beginning! How many times have you tried out for Big Brother? What did the casting process involve for you? And, of course, what advice would you give those currently trying out for the summer season, BB10?

Alex: BB9 was my first audition for Big Brother and I was lucky enough to be the person they were looking for and get selected. I cannot talk about the casting process but I will tell you it was long - LOL. Finally, for the people trying out for the summer season, good luck. Go as yourself and look good. They know what they want when they are interviewing, be that person, the saying that I’ll leave you with is, “Hey, ya never know!”

BBC: How much of a fan of Big Brother were you prior to auditioning? How much of the previous seasons did you watch/re-watch to help prepare you before entering the house? I believe I’ve read that your best friend (Johnny?) auditioned too, and helped you prepare - true?

Alex: I watched the first 2 seasons of big brother and then didn’t watch again until all-stars and season 8. I watched almost all the seasons to see different type of ways to play the game but of course played the way I wanted to when getting into the house - if I did. My best friend Johnny also auditioned, he is the reason why I made it. I was only going for him and I was picked the first day I was seen and went through the process hoping to get through every round after that.

BBC: How was your reception when you got home - friends, family, work, fans? Have you been able to catch up on the show since leaving?

Alex: My reception was amazing. My mother ran to me and gave me the biggest hug and said how proud she was of me for being the person you are and that’s why your the best. I then went home to a house of like 20 people looking to ask me everything and anything. I then spent Easter Sunday with my family, and Sunday night left to go to Aruba for a week. Came home and had an awesome welcome back party with family and friends from all over and had a blast. Happy to be home, but missed the house.

BBC: Many previous houseguests feel like they’re not accurately portrayed by CBS on the network shows - there’s many a discussion about getting a ‘good edit’ vs. a ‘bad edit’. How do you feel you were portrayed on the show? And naturally - do you think they’re portraying the other houseguests fairly?

Alex: Its CBS, LOL. There is nothing we can do. I don’t really care how CBS portrays me to be honest, because I know I didn’t change the person that I am on the show. So maybe that’s why they had the twist because they didn’t like my style of play or knew I was going to win, who know, LOL. People who watch the live feeds and Show Time know the real me, I haven’t watched the show yet to see how the really portrayed me, that will come in time.

The Big Brother After Dark promo!

Tuesday, February 12th, 2008

Here it is, the promo for Big Brother After Dark!

And if you don’t see the official new banner for us here at BBC - refresh! Just like last year, I will only update the header after the West Coast network show, so as not to spoil it for those on the west coast who want to wait for the show. Any spoiler posts from the live feeds will be posted under the official BBC spoiler warning button that looks like this:

1spoiler.jpg

It will also be behind the ‘read more of this entry’ cut tag. If you decide to push that link and go to the spoilers, you cannot get upset at me that you know something you didn’t want to know! I mean, you COULD get upset at me, but that’d be pretty silly, right? Right!

Less then 24 hours to go! To help you while the time away, here’s another interview with Julie Chen. Ever wondered what she really thinks of being called “Chenbot”? or who her favorite houseguests have been? Did you wonder if she actually cusses in front of people? She does - and in interviews too - in telling us who her favorite houseguest is, she actually uses the word “bitch”! I kid you not - even though it was a quote, she still says it. She also loves slop. How can it be so bad if the Chenbot will eat it? I knew they were being pansies about it! Anyway, go over and check it out!

And if that’s not enough Chenbot for you, here’s another interview for you from CBS 13. And last, but not least, Julie will be on Craig Furgerson tonight too! I doubt she’ll say anything different there then she has in the latest interviews, but it’s worth checking out none-the-less.

See ya’ll tomorrow!

You know you’re addicted when… Vid added!

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

ChenbotDLshow2.jpg….you watch David Letterman (who I dislike immensely) on the off chance of learning something new about the upcoming season as Julie Chen guests….

Well, that was disappointing.

There was nothing new on the interview, what little they talked about Big Brother involved the evolution of all strangers to seasons with twists, to a fake Big Brother After Dark segment and a plug that the season starts on February 12th. Guess we have to wait another week or so!

Sigh.

Here’s the Youtube for those who missed it - not that you missed much, of course.

A tale of man and his meatlog…

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

MikeLR_1.jpgOh stop - you know what I mean! Mike, the quiet man who ate much meat while in the house - was nice enough to sit down and answer some questions for all of us here at Big Brother Craze! It struck me, as I emailed back and forth, that he simply is what he seemed to be - a really nice guy, with integrity and confidence. Read on - I’m sure you’ll agree!

1. How did you come to be chosen for Big Brother 8? Were you a recruit, or apply as a fan of the show - what can you tell us of the process that got you there?
I simply saw an ad on the internet for a reality show, applied for it, and next thing I knew was being called in for an interview. I found out it was for BB, and having watched the past 2 seasons of it, was interested in advancing through to being on the show.

2. What kind of strategy did you enter the house with, and would you do differently if you had the chance?
I went into the house trying to get to know everyone as best I could, and asking them lots of questions. I would pay particularly close attention and compare questions that they would more likely tell the truth on vs. ones where they were more likely to lie about. At the same time I would also study their body language. This could be used later on during the show when asking questions to determine if they were lying or not so I knew where to place my trust. I wouldn’t have done anything differently if given the chance.

3. What were you thoughts when the enemies twist was revealed? How scared were you that one of YOUR enemies would be walking down those stairs? Relieved when they weren’t? Did the knowledge of the enemies/people who knew each other change your strategy at all?
I wasn’t scared in the least bit that I would have an enemy coming down those stairs. I just don’t have people out there that I hate or hate me. The enemies twist immediately made my strategy turn to eliminating one member from each group of three enemies for fear that they would all have a common bond in the house (regardless if enemies or not at that point) and join forces against the rest.

mikeEvicted_1.jpg4. After leaving the house, how much of the show did you watch? Did you watch BBAD or the feeds?
I only watch about a half dozen shows. I did watch some BBAD but no live feeds. My schedule was and still is quite busy, which didn’t allow me much time to dive into the shows.

5. One thing almost all houseguests have in common, is that they think they aren’t portrayed correctly on the network shows. How do you feel CBS portrayed you?
Poorly. Many interactions whether it be conversations, ideas, strategies, revelations, activities including dates with the girls simply wasnt aired. Unless someone is in a power postition or their decision is going to have a drastic impact in the house it wasnt aired. So I looked like a mystery man to most when in fact I wasnt in the least bit.

6. Do you think they portrayed the other houseguests fairly?
I think everyone at some point during the game was portrayed differently. Some not as severe as others.

7. Could you describe each houseguest for us as one who knows them better then we could?
Carol - sweet
Joe - loud
Nick - athletic
Kail - hearty
Dustin - aloof
Jen - optimistic
Amber - emotional
Jessica - lofty
Eric - sly
Jameka - genuine
Zach - smart
Daniele - pompous
Dick - unreserved

MikeCSB.jpg

8. You had the unique perspective of seeing the America’s Player twist played out from outside of the house since your early eviction. What do you think of the twist, and how Eric shouldered the load of AP?
I didn’t think the twist was a huge wow factor by any means. But, I do think Eric did a good job of manipulating others during the game. There were some tasks that seemed very unchallenging though and almost handed to him.

Sweet Chicken! An Interview with Eric!

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

EricMustardNotMe_1.jpgHere it is, at long last! We all know how busy our America’s Player has been since leaving the house, with all the interviews and making appearances with Jessica all over the place, winning giant martini glasses, and such - so it’s no surprise that he took a little longer then planned to get back to me. However - as we saw all summer long, Eric is a man of his word, and as such as answered all my questions in depth and personally.

No wonder we love him! So here you go, the Summer of BB8, in Eric’s own words (as led - er, questioned - by me, of course!) Enjoy!

EricInterview_01.jpg

BBC: As a ridiculously knowledgeable Big Brother Fan, what was your original strategy before finding out about the America’s Player twist?

Eric: Actually, I was still able to execute many of the basic strategy points that I planned to implement.

A) Wait as long as possible to make an alliance
B) Use the first 2 weeks to protect myself with the HoH while working hard/playing hard/being non-threatening
C) Forging relationships with as many other houseguests as humanly possible (allowing me options later on, as the game is ever-shifting)
D) Come across as a jokester & not a physical threat, so that people wouldn’t see me coming when I made my moves later in the game
E) Always be a part of the majority (as well as the majority within that majority). I consider it a sliding scale of alliances. Be a part of the group in control of the house (ie the LNC’s original 7), but within that group have the majority of 4-5 people, and within that 4-5 have a three, and within that 3 have a two (for example within the original 7 there was the 5 of us that were closer, then me/jess/jameka, then me/jess…obviously this shifted midway through the game)
F) Don’t be afraid to make a big move that shakes up the game

BBC: How did they present the option to you - did you think even for a second of turning AP down? Was Samantha, who we saw in previews but never entered the house, your replacement if you had said no? (SOMEONE has to know who this girl was! I’m betting on you…)

Eric: First of all, absolutely no clue who Samantha is/was, haha. (BBC: DANG IT! Who WAS this girl?!) I found out about the twist roughly 3 days before the show began. I did indeed go through the complete casting process just like everyone else…trust me, this was a bigger shock to me than anyone! The executive producers brought a packet of info to my hotel room and asked me to look it over. I never considered turning it down for a second…I was thrilled and honored to be selected for the show and was ready to fill whatever role they had in mind for me.

BBC: How much of the show have you been able to catch up on? Network, Feeds (via YouTube or refeeds), BBAD, the gazillion of Tribute videos for both you and Jessica?

Eric: I’ve made it through about 2/3 of the episodes so far. Honestly, once you’ve lived it - it’s a tad anticlimatic to watch. Naturally I’ve always loved the show, so that’s not the problem. It’s just that watching 3 hours a week can never compare to living all of the drama 24-7. Jessica & I both love the tributes. They really are a ton of fun to watch - it’s a great reminder of how much fun and happiness we truly shared in the house. It’s our own version of a scrapbook of memories!

BBC: Many houseguests of all seasons think they aren’t shown as they really are on the network shows - how do you feel CBS portrayed you? The other houseguests?

Eric: I think the portrayal was accurate, but not nearly as dimensional as it could have been. For me, so much of what was shown was related to AP that I don’t think people got to see some of the other sides of me on CBS (sense of humor, passion for the show, knowledge/strategic value).

“Missing the touch of Carol”?

Tuesday, October 2nd, 2007

Me too! That’s why I was so glad she consented to do an interview with us here at Big Brother Craze! Enjoy! (FYI - the title is a reference to one of the Quarter’s rules by the houseguests. Live Feed watchers know what I mean!)

~~~
Thanks for taking the time to talk with us here at Big Brother Craze, Carol! While it sucks to be the first voted out, I think you have some valuable insight on the other houseguests that we might not have thought of! So let’s get to it!
9_27_Carolcollage.jpg
BBC: As a recruit to be on the show as part of the Enemies Twist, what went through your mind when you were contacted to be on the show? Did you have any idea what you were getting yourself into?
Carol: I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I initially thought it would be a lot of fun and that it was an opportunity that I could not pass up
BBC: What kind of strategy did you enter the house with, and would you do differently if you had the chance?
Carol: I had no strategy when I entered the house and yes I would do things completely different now.
BBC: How surprised were you to see Jessica walk down those stairs? How did you feel you’re rivalry compared to the others of the house?
Carol: I was shocked that she was there, at the time I thought our rivalry was a big joke in comparison to the others
BBC: After leaving the house the first week, how much of the show did you watch? Did you watch BBAD or the feeds?
Carol: I think I might have missed 1 or 2 episodes and I never watched the bbad
BBC: One thing almost all houseguests have in common, is that they think they aren’t portrayed correctly on the network shows. How do you feel CBS portrayed you?
Carol: I was not there long enough to be portrayed a certain way. possibly just as the naive recruit who did not want to be there in the first place
BBC: Do you think they portrayed the other houseguests fairly?
Carol: yeah for the most part, they emphasized the bad side of everyone and showed very little of the good qualities of the other house guests
9_26_ErissicaRealInterview01.jpg
Sorry about that guys, we had a minor (…..) server malfunction, and were down for most of the night. But we’re back, Jessica’s interview is now accessible once again! AND, below is the video of Eric and Jessica’s chat on Real.com! It was VERY cool to see them together again and get some more insights on the America’s Player tasks, as well as what their status is as a couple.
Complete with blushing. (grin)
So! Without further ado- here you go!
Updated - the original videos were removed from youtube - here’s a new set, including the 3 minutes of music before the interview where you can’t hear them talking, but can watch them drinking and laughing. Enjoy!
More after the cut!
BOOYAH! An interview with Jessica!
Tuesday, September 25th, 2007
9_26_Jessicacollage.jpgAs I promised, here’s that something special from the Kansas Cutie herself, Jessica! She’s ever bit the delight we came to know and love all season long, and I’m so glad she chose to interview with us! Enjoy!
~~~

BBC: How long have you been a Big Brother Fan, and what made you apply?

Jessica: I have been watching Big Brother since season four, and have been a fan ever since. I applied as soon as I turned 21 this year, because I love competitions, and thought it would be a fun way to spend my summer, plus giving me a shot at winning a big cash prize at the same time.

BBC: Would you do it again? How about Allstars - with/against Eric?

Jessica: I really enjoyed my time in the BIG BROTHER house and would love the opportunity to compete again. I think I would be better prepared next time, and would be willing to play with or without Eric in the game.

BBC: Were you surprised to see Carol? How did she come to be on the show?

Jessica: I was shocked to see Carol, but expect the unexpected right? I applied for the show and listed her as a rival (because I didn’t really have any enemies to list) so I am sure that is why she was contacted. Carol told me she was contacted sometime between semi-finals and finals and was asked to be on the show.

BBC: How much of the show have you been able to catch up on since leaving sequester?

Jessica: I have begun watching the season but am only up to week three. I cannot wait to finish watching the entire season though.

BBC: Many houseguests of all seasons think they aren’t shown as they really are on the network shows - how do you feel CBS portrayed you?

Jessica: I feel the editing that was done for the television only showed a very small part of who I am and they left out the fun stuff. I have had so many people tell me they didn’t really get to know me from the television edit, but they loved me on the live feeds and BBAD. If only some of my more fun times had been shown on television too, perhaps America would not have voted for me to be nominated the week after Carol was evicted.

BBC: Do you think CBS portrayed the other houseguests fairly?

Jessica: I have not seen the entire season yet, but from what I have watched so far, I am a little disappointed in the typecasting that was done. For example, there was so much more to Amber than just crying, and it is say they didn’t show her fun side more too.

BBC: Could you describe each houseguest for us as one who knows them better then we could?

Jessica:
Carol – my rival, intelligent, pretty, athletic
Joe – I absolutely loved him! Joe was a great story teller, fun, animated
Mike – quiet
Nick - nice
Kail - mature
Dustin – well spoken, handsome, sharp
Jen – gorgeous, strong willed
Amber – wears her emotions on her sleeve, looks for the good in people
Eric – persuasive, smart, funny, entertaining
Jameka – out going, hilarious, out spoken. I had so much fun with jameka.
Zach – analytical, makes the best of any situation
Daniele – competitive
Dick- loud, looks out for those he cares about

9_26_Jessica_APreaction.jpg

BBC: We all watched as Eric tried to balance his America’s Player tasks with his game, and his obvious growing relationship with you - now that you have had a few days to digest the AP twist, what do you think of it?

Jessica: I feel the AP twist was unfair to all 14 houseguests. If the game had been 14 strangers, each making their own decisions, I think the outcome would have been much different. I wish it would have been 14 strangers in the game, with everyone getting to play for themselves.

BBC: How do you think it affected your game in particular and the game as a whole?

Jessica: Since Eric was my closest ally, the AP twist affected my game a great deal. I talked over my strategy with Eric all the time, thinking I could trust him because we had the same goals. Because of his role as AP, he was forced to lead me in directions that were not actually in his or my own best interests.

I can say that this experience has taught me to always listen more to my own instincts than to other’s opinions.

Here’s to you, Mrs. Robinson…

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

When I mentioned that little something special yesterday, little did I know that I would have something else special to share in the meantime! I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Kail Harbick, the fifth evictee from the Big Brother House. She was very sweet, and answered my email right away. So here you go - enjoy!

9_18_07_Finale_WholeCast.jpg

~~~
Kail, thanks so much for interviewing with Big Brother Craze!
KailBathang_1.jpgFirst - I have to say, for a mom of three, you look FANTASTIC - and I admit that with no small amount of jealousy on my part! Way to represent for the mom of teenagers club! I’m going to attempt to ask questions that you haven’t already had to answer 8billion times, though I’m sure there’s some crossover as everyone wants to know the same sorts of things. Feel free to be as verbose or short as you like!
1. BBC: I know you were a finalist for two years running before getting picked for this year’s Big Brother. What advice would you have for other hopefuls currently applying?
Kail: Season 5 was the first year I auditioned and every year thereafter. I just would not take NO for an answer. You know when you have that “gut” feeling that you can do something and know that you will. That is the feeling I had and so I kept going after my dream. When auditioning stay true to who you are, have an opinion, and speak with conviction.
2. BBC: If you had the chance, would you do it all again? What would you do differently?
Kail: At this time, I do not know if I would do it again. Although, I am pursuing acting, modeling, and speaking. ( www.kailharbick.com) If I had to do it again, I don’t think I would have made such a bold move in week 2 campaigning to evict Richard. I did that thinking I had my alliance behind me (That’s logical thinking to me?). I did not have Nick backing me up.
3. BBC: You’ve had more time outside of the house since leaving before sequester - how much of the show were you able to catch up on, and did you watch the rest of the season before attending the finale?
KailSad_1.jpgKail: It took me the whole 6 weeks to catch up on back episodes. I wanted to make sure I had the show watched in its entirety before the finale. I did NOT watch the Afterdarks. I could not stomach watching the houseguests say such horrible things behind other houseguests and I am very disappointed in them behaving like that.
4. BBC: Many houseguests find that they aren’t portrayed as they feel they really were in the house - how do you feel about the way CBS portrayed you during your stay?
Kail: I am a person who always tries and finds the positive in every situation. So, here it is…It could have been worse.
5. BBC: Do you think they portrayed the other houseguests fairly?
Kail: I’m not sure.. I do wish they showed more of Richards abusive behavior.
firstfiveandjen.jpg
6. BBC: Could you describe each houseguest for us - both as you knew them in the house, and if any opinions have changed since your eviction?
Kail:
Carol - Absolutely beautiful inside and outside. Very level headed about the experience.
Joe - A true friend! Someone who will stick by your side.
Mike - Honest and loyal.
Nick - Very friendly
Dustin - I’m not sure how I feel about him after I watched the show. I don’t know to trust him or not.
Jen - A great friend. Very, very intelligent and a loyal friend.
Amber - High maintenance and you don’t know when she will explode with anger. Who needs a friend like that?
Jessica - No comment.
Eric - I do not respect his game play or what he said about the other houseguest when they were out of the house. That is just rude.
Jameka - No comment
Zach - A great guy.
Daniele - Survivor
Dick - Mean and abusive!
7. BBC: The America’s Player twist - you’ve had more time to consider it then those recently released from sequester. How do you think it affected the game in general, and your game in particular? What do you think of how Eric shouldered the AP load? Do you think any of the other houseguests - including yourself - could have accomplished as much as he did at the whim of the American public?
Kail: I was glad for America to be able to participate in the show. I feel Eric had a great personality to pull off the deeds. Yes, I do feel it affected my game, Nicks game, and Erics.
8. BBC: I have to ask this, I just do! Do you now know who Mrs. Robinson is, and why your alliance was coined the MRA? (I admit I got a chuckle out of how many in the house did not know!)
Kail: Yes, I sort of knew, but didn’t want to give Richard the satisfaction that I knew. I have never watched the movie nor will I.
Watch this space, folks! I have something VERY SPECIAL coming up for you! I’m absolutely thrilled about it (I’m giddy, I tell you! GIDDY!), and can’t wait till I have the post in my hot little hands to share with you. It’ll be worth it, I swear!
Want a hint? Alright, just one.
Yeah - THAT got you’re attention, didn’t it…. Stay tuned!
Wrap it up, folks!
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007
Did I hear someone ask for wrap party info and pictures? They’re popping up all over the web, with plenty more to come I’m sure.
Speaking of pops of the ring persuasion - look what an eagle-eyed viewer found on Eric’s finger…
9_20_07_RINGPOP_1.jpg
Erisica fans know that the running line was that Jessica was going to propose to Eric at the wrap party, using a tropical punch flavor ringpop to seal the deal. Says Josh - Eric’s brother:
the ring pops were sent by us to eric towards the end of the game for his HOH - he got them once he was evicted and saved the two “light up” ones for last night and they decided it would be funny to both wear them with the story being they both proposed at the same time
You can find Josh/SenorX27’s take on the wrap party here.
You can find some more pictures here, and here, and here.
And here’s a bootleg version of the gag reel:
There are reports all over the sucks boards, and jokers, and all around the net about the party - it seems everyone had fun, though Carol is a bit bitter and was snippy with Eric’s brothers, but ultimately everyone had a grand ole time.
Cept’ for Zach, who tried to get into a Hollywood hotspot last night - and couldn’t. Poor Zach!
And my favorite picture of the bunch after the cut! (Don’t click if ya don’t like Dick!)
Finally - the Amber Interview we’ve been waiting for..
Saturday, September 22nd, 2007
9_20_07_amberwrapparty_1.jpgLeave it to Buddy TV to get the first interview that really gets Amber to speak up! Of course, it is rife with her claims of being a ‘good person’ and how she’s changed her life and she’s sorry really, she’s not a NY Jew hating hypocritical meth head… I mean, she says she’s sorry.
And I said that was my final, but I guess one more, because it just fascinates me on a personal level that you are isolated from everything. Since you’ve gotten out, is there anything that’s happened in the world or in the news that you’ve heard, and has surprised you?
In the real world, I saw some clippings about my crying, and that definitely surprised me. Not that I didn’t cry, but at the same time they counted the minutes and everything that I cried. I’m proud of it, but at the same time I’m upset with it and disappointed, because like I said they didn’t show any other part of me except that I cried a lot. I went out to dinner, I’ve seen people, no one’s really said anything to me, no one’s noticed me or anything. So once I get back home I’m sure it’ll be a lot different, obviously. I’m sure I’m gonna get a lot of people making comments to me, and probably not so much good comments. But it was an experience, and I’m glad I did it. I was me when I went in the game, and I was me when I came out of the game. I learned a lot about a lot of different things, and a lot about myself, so I learned to appreciate things more now, family and life, and everything. Freedom, I learned to appreciate freedom. I have yet to get on the Internet or cbs.com, I haven’t had access to any of that yet, but I will do that. I’m not, like I said, I have to take everything with a grain of salt because I have to know that everyone saw me 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and everyone has their own opinion. I know I’m gonna see horrible things, my sister’s told me a lot of things that were said about me. And it sucks, but it is what it is and I just have to deal with it and try to make the best of it.
Yes, if you’d like to clarify about that comment, our readers would be Interested in that.
OK, I just want to tell everybody out there that when I was in the backyard and I was talking to Jameka and I made that comment, it came from a bad place. What I should’ve said, and what I wanted to say and how I meant it was, not selfish. Jews, people from New York, they’re not selfish, they’re just very goal-oriented and they’re very hard workers, and money-motivated. Those are the words I should’ve used, money-motivated and hard working, and goal-oriented, instead of saying selfish and money-hungry, I didn’t mean those in rude ways. I can’t stress to all of you out there how sorry I am I said that. I’m not a horrible person, I’m not prejudiced. I have friends from all walks of life, and I really wish I could individually apologize to every single one of you out there that I offended.
I did not mean that in a rude way, I was upset with Eric, and it came from a bad place. It’s not me to sit around and criticize people, I’m not prejudiced, I love everybody. I think everyone has something special about them, and I mean this from the bottom of my heart. I am so sorry if I offended anybody out there in any way, shape or form. I have nothing against anybody, and I mean, apology is not enough. I’m sorry, I can say it a thousand times, and I know it probably doesn’t mean anything to anybody out there. But I want you to know that I wish I wouldn’t have said it. I’m sorry I did, there’s no excuse for it. All I can do now is justify to you guys and tell everybody out there in the world that I meant no harm by it, I was upset at the time, and I’m so sorry. I can’t say I’m sorry enough and I mean that, and please forgive me. And if not, I understand as well. Any comments you guys have to say about me or anyone has to say about me, it’s fine, and I respect whatever you just have to say to me. Again, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry, I can’t tell you that enough.
Thank you very much for that, it’s very brave to admit when you’ve made a mistake and admit when you’re wrong. We appreciate your sincerity in wanting to get that off of your chest.
And can I say one more thing, and then I’ll be done?
You absolutely can.
I just want to tell everybody out there that everything I did in the house was me. I went into that house and I was me, I had no strategy. The reason why I was so confident about being me and so proud about the person I am is because I am proud of the person I am. I’ve been through so much in my life. I’m 27-years-old, I had a daughter when I was 19, I’ve been in a off-and-on relationship for four years with a guy that I’m so in love with. My dad left when I was younger, I was on drugs for a year of my life. I did lie about some stuff that was really serious when I was on drugs. I want everyone to know, I spoke about those things because I want to inspire people to see that the grass is greener on the other side. You can change your life. I used to be such a different person a couple of years ago, my life as opposed to now. I’ve changed so much, I’ve done a complete 360 in my life.
Now, I know I’ve gone on about this before - but really, HOW did Amber get casted on this show? She’s not equipped for it at all, she’s unstable, and her sense of reality is amazingly skewed. She has her timeline incorrect, when it comes to when those comments were made, and swearing on her daughter only twice? Uh, huh. She still just doesn’t get it.
There’s one thing that I can totally agree with though. That last line. She’s absolutely made a complete 360 turn, and I’m willing to bet that she is, indeed, who she was in the house. Heh. Unfortunately, that’s not necessarily a good thing. There’s other gems in the interview too - so check it out, hm?
9_18_07_Finale_WholeCast.jpg
Here we go, guys, still MORE on the interview circuit, including one that I’ve decided is my ultimate favorite D/D interview yet…. mainly because they seem to get so uptight about being asked some questions. Heh.
Mid Season Replacements Interviews D/D
Dick: Not after the questions were asked. I think the jury questions were asked to us on Saturday night and just the tone and how personal it was. Things like Amber’s attack on my daughter, and because of what a “good person” Amber is…
Daniele: And we all know she’s a “good person”.
Dick:After hearing that, and we did not know anything about the anti-Semitic remarks she made. We were informed outside of the house. But, some people get what they deserve.
EdHill:You were a pretty controversial figure yourself all season long. Looking back do you have any regrets on how you played the game?
Dick:I won. I really [don’t think I’d] change anything whatsoever. What I call the ripple effect and what Daniele calls the butterfly effect. You change one thing and it can change everything.
So do I have any regrets? As far as I know, I didn’t fabricate anything, I didn’t lie about anything. I said things that people are afraid to say. Calling people hypocrites.
EdHill:But when it comes to that, you can’t play this game and not be a hypocrite at some point. I mean, you guys lied to Eric and Jess to get rid of them.
Laramy’s (real.com) interviews right after the finale:
It was like a freak show - RNO w/Zach
RNO: You mentioned that it would have been a 6-1 vote, but it likely would have been 5-2 due to America’s Player. Overall, what did you think of the America’s Player twist?
Zach: Eric is a funny character. His humor is definitely something that helped pass a lot of time in the house. I knew something wasn’t right with him, but couldn’t put my finger on it. I never would have guessed the America’s Player twist. It was an incredible twist on the game. I knew there was something shady but couldn’t figure out what it was. I couldn’t really resolve anything. I think it was a cool little twist. He prevailed pretty well, he did a good job.
God Ordains Different Things - RNO w/Jameka
RNO: You probably haven’t had a chance to see anything yet, but your religious beliefs were featured quite a bit on TV. One thing you said many times was that you believed the results of Big Brother were pre-ordained by God. With that in mind, why do you believe you were evicted when you were?
Jameka: I still have not come up with a concrete reason as to why I was evicted. I feel I played the best game I could have played. I don’t know if you all saw it when I was a little overboard. I wanted them to not typecast me and I was concerned they were trying to make me into this person and only cater to these areas that were Biblical. I hope they got the other stuff and did not confine me to this one person. When I clapped my hands at Dick, I couldn’t contain my anger at that point.
And the one we’ve all been waiting for, but unfortunately it just doesn’t do good enough…
It was just me being me - RNO w/Amber
RNO: Is there anything else you want to tell us about your time in the Big Brother house?
Amber: I do – two things. First, my crying. Everybody looks at me and laughs because I cry so much. But they portrayed me crying all the time. I spoke to my family [about what was shown on TV]. Yes I did cry a lot, but they didn’t show my fun side, my laughing side. It’s very embarrassing. I’m proud that I cry but my daughter was watching and it offends me that they only showed me crying. I had so many times in the house when I didn’t cry, they really showed my character not to be me and that really bothers me.
[The second thing is] I made a comment when I was upset with Eric – I made it about Jewish people and people from New York. I just want to tell the people I offended that I am very sorry. I did not mean to offend anybody and I was upset with Eric at the time. Being upset, people tend to say things they don’t mean. That came from a really bad place, and from the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry – I send my apologies to anyone I offended. I don’t like to hurt people’s feelings. The words just came out and I was upset with Eric. I have friends that are Jewish and friends from New York. I am not prejudiced and I am truly truly truly sorry.
OK - I can’t let that last one go by without saying something - and well, loudly calling BULLSHIT. Those comments were made BEFORE she got upset with Eric about the whole secret that she told the whole world business. Those comments included the statements that she learned these things from her mother and sister who feel the same way. Sorry Amber - apology NOT accepted. Someone set this wackjob straight? PLEASE?
Ok - After the cut! Zach and Eric on Housecalls! Whoo!
