Big Brother Craze

Sheila is the most self-centered bitch I’ve ever seen. Allison and Amanda and Sheila had a lovefest of apologies and such because of the fight earlier, and then Sheila has to whip it right around back and talk about herself. Both Allison and Amanda looked like they wanted to get out of that room more then anything, and she kept right on going for an HOUR, while it’s clear neither of them feel well still, Amanda wants to wash the crap out of her hair, and go to bed, Allison is still having some problems talking, and Sheila is going on and on about DOR and Adam and going on the block AND that he ABUSES her and she’s 45 years old and doesn’t need this stuff and omg will the DR PLEASE give her some Tylenol PM so she’ll shut up?!

I hate people that toss the word abuse around so lightly. Compound that with her insensitivity with Amanda and Allison? PLEASE, Sheila, DOR. I’m begging you - because if I have to listen to much more of this? I’m gonna go INSANE.

Now Adam is trying to get through to her, and she seems to think that since she’s a MOTHER and OLDER (How old is she again? oh yeah! 45 frickin years old! she’s said it every other sentence!) and her SON is watching and… She keeps trying to say she’s better then everyone, and honey, I got news for you - that’s EXACTLY who you are. And if she thinks anyone is gonna buy her book because of this? Not even. Having a child doesn’t make you a better person. Respect is earned.

And she keeps saying she doesn’t care, if that’s the case? Shut. Up. And stop talking about it. Clearly the DR is sick of listening to her talk too - they just gave her a Tylenol PM. THANK YOU BB! Now if she’ll just shut up, take it, and go to bed.

Amanda just passed out - she said to Natalie she wasn’t feeling well, then collapsed. Natalie ran and got the guys from outside, and when they rolled her over she started gasping for breath and then went into convulsions. She has said a couple of times that she’s hyperglycemic, and that she was worried about getting enough sugar - I’ll update as soon as we come back from Trivia and have further word…

The other Cam..

We just had a flash of them back in the house, with some outside and some inside, saying it was weird, but then Trivia again. We’re back, and people are talking about it - the panic button brought the cops, and Mattie tried to get sports scores from one of them. Nice. The houseguests don’t seem TOO worried at the moment, so I think she’s probably ok, getting checked out by the doctor and such. There’s no sign of her Amanda yet.

[For those upset about Chelsia's faking it comments - for someone who's as overly dramatic as Amanda, it's the first thought. It was mine too for half a second. Chelsia saw it was real and changed that right away. And for those who hate James - he was one of the first ones to her aid. So zip it.]

Something happened to Allison too, it looks like - Alex said he didn’t recognize her when he came in and her face had come out in hives - she was crying and upset… Amanda is no longer in the house at the moment - and are wondering when Parker or Jen will come back… Natalie is pretty freaked out and is hiding under the covers with a bad headache.

Looks like Allison ate a peanut and was already in the DR because of the reaction when all this went down. From all reports it looks like they’ll be back after the trip to the ER.

I’ll update when I find out more, of course.

..that every time I leave the house, there is some drama brewing that explodes? At least this time I came back to catch the tail end of it all!

As Charlie Brown would say! I go out to a dinner meeting with the ‘rents and I MISS the first James Chelsia makeout session? I’ve been waiting for a WEEK for them to succumb! It was no surprise to me that it happened, or that I wasn’t here when it did. Just my luck!

However, those Dish Girls are always quick on the record button! So if you’ve missed it, here you go! First, we get to know them a bit as they drink alcohol by the bowl full:

Got to love it when she says “Daddy I’m sorry!” as she remembers about the cameras! Currently, after a backrub from Natalie, James is asleep in the spa room, and Chelsia sleeps comfortably in the HOH bed. Awwwwww….

Now they’re trying to figure out how to get James upstairs - because he’s not waking up anytime soon. (Chuckles) They end up (After flames that apparently gave them permission) getting him to the bed in the spa room, where Josh covered him with a blanket. Again, I say, Awwwww..

In other news - Sheila and Adam had another blow up, but have seemed to make up for now. No telling how long that will last.

The current plan, I think, is to put up Alex and Amanda, with Adam and Sheila up as pawn, with Natalie and Matt going up as a replacement if one of the couples win POV. The Nominations will be tomorrow, Check back here for those spoilers! Soon as I know, you’ll know!

….is gonna bite them in the ass if they don’t come clean pretty soon! They are planning on telling Josh and Chelsia that it was all a joke…. if they win HOH. Hm. (Not gonna put these behind the cut - they’re not very spoilery, I don’t think. But Beware, of course, as usual!)

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Joshuah the Gossip Queen told Sharon about the “fourth relationship” and her reaction was shock, and also annoyance…

IN other news, Parker has been boycotting the DR since last night, flipping off the cameras every time they move to face him/his direction, and generally being a whiney little bitch. I’m so over Parker. And seems I’m not the only one…

And I’m still lovin on James and Chelsia!

Who’s your favorite so far? Do you think Allison and Sheila’s joke will backfire when it comes out in the end? It’s been a quiet day so far, for the most part… how long do you think that’ll last?

You know, there hasn’t been a single blow up all day. It’s pretty odd, that suddenly they’re getting along, but it’s also a bit of a relief, too. There’s been strategy talks, and talks about just about everything under the sun - from losing one’s virginity to cheating on tests. Currently Sheila is complaining about it to Allison, because it’s not the deep meaningful conversation she’s craving. And she’s upset about the guys calling Chelsia fat (Don’t EVEN get me started. Because god - seriously, people, if you want to see fat, look at my ass. Leave these girls alone. And people wonder why there’s an epidemic of eating disorders? UGH!). Anyway, they’ve been milling around and talking, but no real blowups, despite Amanda’s attempts.

Looks like those are guinea pigs in the cage there - a couple of them, of course. Haha. Everything is in pairs, and Julie did say that they’d be evicted together too - so something else has to be planned in order for it to be a full 90 day season. Perhaps the first few are evicted as couples, then they compete individually? Who knows… only 5 more days till we find out!

Man I love this time of the Big Brother year - even if it’s several months early. You know what I mean… I love the reveals of the cast, the house, and the sense of general excitement that starts to permeate the boards, the sites, the general populace of Big Brother Fans. Sure, there’s some that are pissy and don’t want to think about it, and nay-sayers too. But that doesn’t matter - nope! The excitement lives on, and builds, and encompasses all of us true fans…

Which is why we’re giddy at two MORE promos tonight on CBS! Check them out!

Oooooh Julie! How we’ve missed you! about 12 more hours until we’ll find out more (hopefully) on the Early Show! Time to say goodbye to sleep, and any semblance of a normal life! (Picked a hell of a year to quit drinking Caffeine, didn’t I?)

Well, those of you who didn’t like the idea of Dirty Little Secrets - might not like this one much either. This morning there was a new commercial, and those at We Love Big Brother got it put up for everyone.

VO: The big brother houseguests are moving in and we’ve matched them each with a soul mate. They’ll compete together and if they’re not careful, be evicted together! Big Brother Premieres next Tuesday!

WELL then. One little thing to note here though is this - they didn’t specifically say that these houseguests knew each other before and are soul mates already - they said “We’ve matched them…” As everyone knows, these promos can often be about tiny little differences like that which can change the whole dynamic of the game. Also - some of the Semi-Finalists that weren’t chosen have been speaking up here and there - the common thread? They said they’d applied to be on a “dating show” not Big Brother! Strangers is still a definite possibility, especially if this season is sponsored by Match.Com or EHarmony or something like that…

Of course, NOW it makes sense why Janelle is hosting a “Showmance” special for BB9… This also opens the doors for double evictions as needed too if they aren’t careful and end up ‘evicted together’.

It’s a good thing we get to find out the details and who the houseguests are tomorrow! Then we’ll at least be able to start digging for dirt and snarking on actual houseguests for 6 days before we get to see them in action.

So what do you think of this sorta Valentine’s Day kind of twist? Do you think they know each other, or are just paired up strangers? Are you hopeful either way?

What’s that got to do with Big Brother? Nothing, really. Especially for an eagle eyed fan who saw this commercial on CBS for Big Brother!

Sixteen houseguests? 16! The last commercials had it at 14, guess there are some shakeups in the works! There have been rumors of it being similar to a BBUK ploy, where there will be other houseguests in another house that will rotate in - and that the two houses will have different rules… there are also rumblings of perhaps it’s not two separate houses, but simply hidden people - a Big Brother Dirty Little Secret, so to speak. If so, wouldn’t it be cool if they got to eavesdrop on conversations and get additional info? Well, cool for them. Methinks the viewers would be stomping and chomping at the bit and complaining that they had an unfair advantage. Of course, the internet drama is half the fun!

It’s all hearsay, of course, but tomorrow is the day slated by those reporters who got to live the Week in a Day inside the Big Brother house that they’ll be able to talk at last and share what they learned - so tomorrow could be filled with info! Be sure to check back, and see what delights I can gather up so that you have it all in one place - a one stop Big Brother Shop, so to speak.

A new commercial hit the airwaves today with more of the “dirty little secret” playing along! The confirmation this one gives us is that there will be, indeed, 14 houseguests, just like previous seasons. Seems to me that means there can’t be a shortened season of 6 weeks as was rumored if they have the full number of houseguests. There’s just not enough time, unless every week was a double eviction week. That’d certainly be ambitious and HECTIC and exhausting if it were true. I think we’ll see the normal 12 week season.

And of course, the promo also promises that there are more secrets then can be counted… is Dirty Little Secret really the key to it all? What kind of twists has Allison Grodner and crew cooked up now? For the past five seasons, houseguests have known each other. Is it too much to hope for an old fashioned Season of Strangers?

I don’t follow much about the other Big Brothers around the world - because really, the US version is more then enough drama for me, especially with our special Winter Session coming up! I knew there were other versions, of course, but I had no clue that Big Brother has been in 38 different countries, and some of the wild antics that have gone on - it’s the sex, lies, and videotape of current day!

Anyway - some lovely random stats for you from the show’s opener: 31 Countries, 2677 houseguests 177 houses 38 countries and 2 billion viewers! Nice to know we’re not alone in our obsession! (grin) When and where was the first Big Brother? The Netherlands in 1999 and? It would take you 14 years to watch every episode of every Big Brother around the world.

Swedes have the most sex, the cheater in UK won, but ended up divorced but who has the weirdest tasks? The Belgium’s like searching for a key in a vat of pig parts. When they ran out of cigarettes they had to blow darts at each other to get more - only the ones that STUCK resulted in the prize. They also let out 100 tarantulas into the house - the houseguests had to collect them, and one was extremely phobic. The worst part? They told them it was 100 spiders, but it was only 99. Hah. The weirdest pets? The pregnant cow in Germany, and the full-grown elephant in Thailand.

It would have to be the pregnant houseguest who delivered her baby in the Netherlands Big Brother house.

Since 1999, all around the world, houseguests have lied, cheated, were loud, were kicked out, were rude, bitched, kissed, fought, and generally made fools of themselves for our entertainment. I LOVE this show!

Here we go, guys, still MORE on the interview circuit, including one that I’ve decided is my ultimate favorite D/D interview yet…. mainly because they seem to get so uptight about being asked some questions. Heh.

Mid Season Replacements Interviews D/D

Dick: Not after the questions were asked. I think the jury questions were asked to us on Saturday night and just the tone and how personal it was. Things like Amber’s attack on my daughter, and because of what a “good person” Amber is…

Daniele: And we all know she’s a “good person”.

Dick:After hearing that, and we did not know anything about the anti-Semitic remarks she made. We were informed outside of the house. But, some people get what they deserve.

EdHill:You were a pretty controversial figure yourself all season long. Looking back do you have any regrets on how you played the game?

Dick:I won. I really [don’t think I’d] change anything whatsoever. What I call the ripple effect and what Daniele calls the butterfly effect. You change one thing and it can change everything.
So do I have any regrets? As far as I know, I didn’t fabricate anything, I didn’t lie about anything. I said things that people are afraid to say. Calling people hypocrites.

EdHill:But when it comes to that, you can’t play this game and not be a hypocrite at some point. I mean, you guys lied to Eric and Jess to get rid of them.

It was like a freak show - RNO w/Zach

RNO: You mentioned that it would have been a 6-1 vote, but it likely would have been 5-2 due to America’s Player. Overall, what did you think of the America’s Player twist?

Zach: Eric is a funny character. His humor is definitely something that helped pass a lot of time in the house. I knew something wasn’t right with him, but couldn’t put my finger on it. I never would have guessed the America’s Player twist. It was an incredible twist on the game. I knew there was something shady but couldn’t figure out what it was. I couldn’t really resolve anything. I think it was a cool little twist. He prevailed pretty well, he did a good job.

God Ordains Different Things - RNO w/Jameka

RNO: You probably haven’t had a chance to see anything yet, but your religious beliefs were featured quite a bit on TV. One thing you said many times was that you believed the results of Big Brother were pre-ordained by God. With that in mind, why do you believe you were evicted when you were?

Jameka: I still have not come up with a concrete reason as to why I was evicted. I feel I played the best game I could have played. I don’t know if you all saw it when I was a little overboard. I wanted them to not typecast me and I was concerned they were trying to make me into this person and only cater to these areas that were Biblical. I hope they got the other stuff and did not confine me to this one person. When I clapped my hands at Dick, I couldn’t contain my anger at that point.

And the one we’ve all been waiting for, but unfortunately it just doesn’t do good enough…

RNO: Is there anything else you want to tell us about your time in the Big Brother house?

Amber: I do – two things. First, my crying. Everybody looks at me and laughs because I cry so much. But they portrayed me crying all the time. I spoke to my family [about what was shown on TV]. Yes I did cry a lot, but they didn’t show my fun side, my laughing side. It’s very embarrassing. I’m proud that I cry but my daughter was watching and it offends me that they only showed me crying. I had so many times in the house when I didn’t cry, they really showed my character not to be me and that really bothers me.

[The second thing is] I made a comment when I was upset with Eric – I made it about Jewish people and people from New York. I just want to tell the people I offended that I am very sorry. I did not mean to offend anybody and I was upset with Eric at the time. Being upset, people tend to say things they don’t mean. That came from a really bad place, and from the bottom of my heart, I am truly sorry – I send my apologies to anyone I offended. I don’t like to hurt people’s feelings. The words just came out and I was upset with Eric. I have friends that are Jewish and friends from New York. I am not prejudiced and I am truly truly truly sorry.

OK - I can’t let that last one go by without saying something - and well, loudly calling BULLSHIT. Those comments were made BEFORE she got upset with Eric about the whole secret that she told the whole world business. Those comments included the statements that she learned these things from her mother and sister who feel the same way. Sorry Amber - apology NOT accepted. Someone set this wackjob straight? PLEASE?
