Big Brother Craze

6:55 BB Time: I’m going to put competition updates here, up until we have a winner, including screen shots as I grab them. So far, everyone is going strong. Dick has ditched his shoes, they are all wet and Daniele is shivering constantly. They’ve also shot mud or something at them, as they’re all looking a little dirty. They have some paper towels or something to help keep their footing.

And it’s dead silent, but for the squeak of shoes against the ‘carrot’ or bare feet landing, and the rabbit running.

It’s gonna be a long night! Determination is the name of the game. WHO do you think will pull it off?

FINAL Update: 2:27 AM BB Time. Approx 7 hrs. 32min.

8:30 PM BB Time: Still hopping, Daniele is visibly shivering, gasping and distressed but hanging on. Still silent, but for Dick’s encouraging Daniele occasionally.

Updated: 8:50pm BB time. approx 2 hours in. Just cut to Trivia, came back and they’re all muddy again. Dick encouraging Daniele as she cries: “Go to the zone. Go where you were on the bat hang. Focus. You’re doing great, Daniele.”

Dick must be getting tired, or worried about Daniele! Cue his berating Zach. Daniele is running in place as it rains now to keep warm. Dick is dedicating every jump to Zach’s ex - the girl he’s been obsessing over, as well as yelling at him about the racism, perverts, how all the girls hated him, how they thought he was creepy, ‘Why would you say that, you panty munchin pevert!’ so on and so forth…

Dick has been going on and on and on like he does. All three are still hanging in strong. Zach has not said a word, and is completely ignoring Dick. Feeds cut out periodically, and come back. I’m not gonna keep copying everything Dick is saying - ya’ll have seen it, heard it, know how it goes. Lather Rinse Repeat.

The bunny stopped - Dick is yelling that it’s a load of shit - that the thing stopped right in the middle and tripped Daniele. Daniele is crying - Zach and Dick still holding on tight…

ETA: Daniele Falling - looks to me like it started to fail, slowed way down and she thought it would stop - she misjudged and fell.

Zach has started firing back - Laughing at Dick “Is that all you got? Come on! hahahaha! I don’t care!” ANd now he’s mimicing Dick. Everytime he yells, Zach yells too. “Right here mf’er!”

We heard BB come over and say they were working on the problem, then vortex. Back, and Daniele is sitting off to the side all bundled up, and Dick tells her she killed the rabbit (Anyone else hear “kill da wwwwwaaaabbit” in their head when I said that? Just me? Ok then.). Then Vortex again.

Update: 10:25 BB Time. Approx 3 hrs. 30min.

We’ve been on vortex for about 20 minutes. Just before it cut we heard a BB VOICE say: Hey Daniele, Could you go…

ETA: 10:30 (3:35) We’re back - to Dick telling Daniele not to look because he TOLD them he had to pee, and was going to pee down his leg. Cue the rain. Daniele is on the sidelines watching, drinking something warm, and said “I’m sorry I broke your game Michael!” (Michael would be the BB Voice of earlier.) Dick also said his shoulder was killing him. Zach looks steady as a rock. - He’s making music with his squeaky shoes. Heh. And Dick is jogging in place to keep warm.

Also - Looks like they were told to pick a hand and stick with it from now on. Feeds still cut.

Still Vortex - no feeds for 15-20 min now. Conspiracy Theorists? Time to take the lack of info and run with it in the comment section! Any ideas? Share with us! (And showtime doesn’t start in my timezone for a while, so I have no clue what’s going on there. Silly Hamsters says they’re on the empty storage room….)

And we’re back - to silence and Zach and Dick still hanging on. Ran is falling agian, both are moving their feet, trying to keep warm… looks Miserable. Zach is now shivering pretty badly now and again.

It definitely looks like Dick is getting the worst of the water - Zach’s stream seems to be off to the side, though they did just attempt to correct that - Dick’s getting a deluge though. He’s also visibly shaking. Zach is shiver, and moving constantly. Dick is often still and very focused. Who knows which the better strategy is at this point? Neither one looks like they’re gonna give up anytime soon!

Daniele: You’re doing great. Remember - whenever one of us can’t come through, the other does. You got it, you got it. Rock steady. Zach’s got a new dance over there, moved on from the q-tip.

Zach: hahah!

Five hours. Holy Cow! Still hanging in there. Both visibly tired, though Zach seems the stronger. However - Zach is adjusting his hold on the key more then Dick is, trying to ease the ache. Dick has a death grip on that key - no matter how much longer he lasts, he is gonna have problems peeling his hands off! Mine ache just WATCHING it….

Still going at 5.5 hours! Dick almost slipped from the stump while running in place a while ago. Zach almost touched the key with his other hand. Both saved themselves in the nick of time. They stopped the rain for a few moments, then started it again. It looks like they reversed direction of the flow, because now, finally, it’s hitting Zach harder then Dick, where it’s been the reverse for a very long time.

Dick is looking rough, but steady, has to keep stretching his back, his hips his arms. Zach just keeps moving.

A moment of comraderie and levity as the rain abates long enough to let them stretch a bit. - With one hand on the key still, of course.

Dani: You got some “Somthing about Mary” hair going on there, Dad.”
Dick: (laughing) I don’t care.
Dani: You’re doing AMAZING. Come on old man!

Dick: Good job Zach. Seriously. This is BRUTAL.
Zach: nods. (pause) I get dibs on shower first!
Dick: Fuck you, there’s TWO!

Laughter all around.
Careful readjusting of grips on keys. Occasional movement. And here comes the rain again…

Dick: I fuckin hate you man.. (to the camera)

Silence again, but for the rainfall, and the running in place (to keep warm - NOT REQUIRED!), and breath. Oh. And Dick’s belching. (laughs)

Zach is showing sign of wear - Dick looks BEAT. It’s all about determination and mind over matter. Dick’s body is thrashed, makes me hurt just looking at him.

Seven hours. Who knew the old man had it in him? He’s 14 years older then Zach, he’s a smoker, he never works out. And yet he’s still there. Zach is adjusting his hand more often now too. Hang in there! I’m gonna get me another Diet Coke, and see if we can’t make it as long as them, hm? My legs hurt just SITTING here this long! I can’t imagine what they’re feeling. Positively TRASHED, I’m sure….

Dani, encouraging Dick, getting close enough he can see her. “You’re doing so good, so good. I never could have done this. He did not get himself here, show him. 73 days we don’t come in the final three. Final two. Hang on. The bat-hang I did, remember? Get to that plateau where nothing matters. Nothing. You’re doing so good.

She starts to cry and has to go inside and compose herself. “This game… THIS GAME…” She’s watching him from just inside the door now, murmuring “come on, come on, come on” - still sniffling.

She just rejoined Dick “His hands are slipping. Don’t quit. Don’t quit. Don’t think he doesn’t feel it, because he does, he does. You’re doing so good… Hang in there. hang in there. It’s ok. Hang in there.”

Daniele: Do whatever you want too. If you can’t it’s ok, it’s ok!

And there we have it. ZACH wins part one of the competition as of 2:27AM BB time and aproll 7 hours and 32 minutes.

Dick can hardly move. Zach gets down and tries to help, and we go to Vortex.

That’s one hell of a competition. Dicks smoking, Daniele is making him something warm to drink, and he’s having his first smoke in hours.

So - in the Skills competition tomorrow (Hopefully late!) Daniele and Dick will compete. Then the winner will take on Zach in part three on Thursday night, live.

Dick: Hey Mike? I know you wanna break this down guys, but can you give me a minute to warm up inside, then come out for another cigarette?
Mike(producer): Take all the time you need, buddy.

Well. Kudo’s to Zach for hanging in there and winning part one! Jamie, I believe you owe him something… (grin). Get some rest ya’ll!

PS- it is nice to see Daniele in nurturing mode. She’s making grilled cheese and soup for them both, as well as hot tea, and water. She’s taking care of them both, and nagging her dad to sit down and eat and not to go outside yet because it’s cold. Production was overheard checking in on Dick as well, asking how he was feeling. His reply? “F’in cold!”
