My Hamster Watchin’ Opinions: Carol, Jessica, Joe, Dustin, Amber
Poor Carol!
The plight of the first evictee, you never get to know them as well as you do the other houseguests. As Carol’s time was before I got the live feeds, I relied on Shotime Too’s coverage of the feeds for Big Brother After Dark to get what little opinion I had about her. After being nominated, she had problems with the cameras, and not wanting to be there. I think that, more then anything else, got her sent home instead of Amber. A senator’s daughter - she was kind of an airhead, and lacked some serious common sense about some things. She seemed sweet enough, for a cheerleader.
And the scuffle between Carol and Jessica? Total BS and hype. Five dollars? Are you kidding me? Carol couldn’t even remember what it was about, and I think the bottom line was that they simply went two different directions and never came back together. Nothing big or life changing at all.
Jessica, on the other hand…
I wanted to hate her and her little girl voice too! I was DETERMINED! She was a cheerleader, unfailingly happy, THAT VOICE, and her perkiness! It was destined to grate on my nerves and I wanted to hate her…. I tried - I DID!
It didn’t work. Yeah, ya’ll knew it was coming. She’s funny, she is the life of the house, often, and nothing seems to get her down. She’s cute, and Vincent (Dick’s son, who he constantly says he’s going to set her up with) could do a lot worse for sure! Gooooooo Jessica! Everytime she says “booyah!” I crack up. I can’t help it - she’s won me over.
Joe, Joe, Joe…
At first, I thought he was lively and funny - then came his drama queen freakout when he found out Dustin was in the house. I know he’s at home blaming his getting evicted on Dustin and how that messed up his game, but I think honestly he was kicked out because of his own actions inside the house. One minute he’d be happy happy and the next he’d be openly stirring the pot and causing difficulties for the other houseguests. I thought he’d go farther, but honestly, I can’t say I’m sad he’s gone. The whole drama queen thing is SO stereotypical and overplayed. Get over yourself, babe, and you’ll be a much better man.
Which of course brings us to Dustin.
In any breakup - we’ll never get the full story, as it’s all colored by individual perception. I like Dustin - I have since the beginning, because he seemed far more stable and less prone to Drama Queen-ing it up. He’s a supporter, he gets along with everyone in the house, and he has a killer sense of humor. He gives great advice, and really is one of my favorites in the house. If only he’d ditch the backstabbing crier…
Who is, naturally, Amber.
I understand being a crier - I am one, but for heaven’s sake, the girl cries about EVERYTHING. And worse then the crying is her embellishing of every story. Someone (Dick) tells her something, and she runs right to Dustin, to Dani, to anyone who will listen (and who they were talking about - game or private, it doesn’t matter, NOTHING is sacred…) and tells the story over and over again. Filled with ums and I go and she goes and I said and she said and we said and I go um and just like and GUH! And she always, WITHOUT FAIL, embellishes the tale to put herself in a better light. Was she agreeable and admitted fault in the original convo? On retell she stood up to whoever it was and “refused to be intimidated!” It’s exhausting.
And if I have to hear the dying dog, I went on drugs to make money story but I’m clean and strong now one more time, I will scream. (Peril of Live feeds!) WHO goes ON drugs to make money? Sounds like a good way to LOSE money to me…
Neeeeeeext…..
