State of the House…
Good Morning, Feed Freaks! It’s early afternoon in the Big Brother House, and both sides are smug and confident. Sighs. Let’s look after the cut and see exactly how they stand and what’s going down…

The Bro-Liance
Ryan: HOH, and prone to being swayed by whomever talks to him last - at least yesterday. Now, however, he seems pretty 100% set on putting James up to replace Chelsia in tomorrow’s POV Meeting. He was swayed to the side by Sheila, of all people, and that still boggles my mind. He’s pretty well surrounded by Mattie and Adam at all times now, and doesn’t see that he’s in their pockets much more then they are in his. He’s used to not wearing the pants in his relationship with Jen - this is no different.
Mattie: The walking dead yesterday, king of the hill today. He’s happy as a pig in poo, and wallowing with barely contained glee. All Macho chauvinistic bull, with generous cursewords thrown in. He’s playing Natalie, still, and singing his own praises constantly. Hell, he’s playing EVERYONE still, and no one is calling him out on it. At my house, we call this “short man syndrome”. If they keep neglecting to see him as a threat - he’ll walk out with 500k at the end.

Adam: Part three of the core Bro-Liance, he’s playing the ultimate floater game. He’s in tight with the two alpha males, and he still, somehow, has Sheila firmly in his partner pocket. I think he’s smarter than people think, for all his goofiness - to be honest, I want him to get HOH and get rid of Sheila. Wonder how she’ll like her partner then?!

The Cackling Hens of Partnerville:
AKA The Bro’s Hos. For all of their complaints about how nasty Chelsia is and how wrongly she’s treated them, they’re completely blind to the fact they’re doing the exact same thing and are prone to switch who they’re bagging on at a moment’s notice - at least Chelsia is consistent with her irritations. And neither of them realize that they are at the BOTTOM of the alliance of 5.
Natalie: Everyone’s favorite Stripper for Jesus, this woman has exactly zero common sense. I find it hard to believe that someone could be as… well, dumb as she is and still survive. The capital of Vermont is Delaware? What state is New England? 27 letters in the alphabet - x,y,AND,z? I wish it were all an act, but the ‘File Cabinet’ in her head is seriously dented. She is so certain that Mattie really loves her, and even though we had a glimpse of hope she’d seen the light, the minute he let her cuddle up to him for half a second, she was right back on her Mattie’s Mah Man bandwagon. She plays the good little wifey, while he openly admits he’s using her. She also is morally outraged by all the bashing of the other houseguests - while doing the exact same thing as the rest. Sigh. Nattie, Nattie, Nattie.
Sheila: Did you know she’s 45 frickin years old, and a single mom? And has a book coming out she needs to promote? And should be respected because she’s all of he above? I know! Feels like the first time we’ve heard it, hm? (rolls eyes) More like every other sentence, then she gets mad when someone says to stop playing those cards. Go figure. Self-righteousness as its best. I give her small ups for suddenly deciding to play the game, and approaching Ryan and managing to flip the script. I also hate her a little bit for it - because if the other side gets HOH next week, guess who’s gonna be right there sucking up again? Umhm. But she’s a single mom, so you better respect her. (snort)
The Operation Specialists
Joshuah: He’s the ringleader and for all of his cattiness, I find him hysterically funny. Unfortunately, he played too open, too hard, and it’s going to be his downfall. He would have floated a lot longer, had it not been for getting paired with Sharon, who’s all game all the time. He got over-confident and cocky, and so much so that he hasn’t noticed the tone of the house has changed. He’s going to come UNHINGED tomorrow, if he doesn’t wise up and realize something’s wrong…

Sharon: All game, all the time, poor no-inside-voice boring story Sharon. She has a great head for the game - she was well set up to keep her friends close and her enemies closer. Unfortunately, she stopped stroking Matt’s ego, and thus is completely out of the loop for what is about to go down. It would destroy her to be on the block with Joshuah, but she will know she’s safe with James up there. She knows she’s safe no matter what - but I foresee her kicking ASS in an endurance HOH after walking one of her own alliance taken down like this.
James: Love him, or love to hate him, he’s as unique as they come. I think he’ll figure out something is off before Joshuah, but I fear it’s too late for him, because they’re going to bury him. The Bro-Liance has him firmly in their sights, and feel he’s too shady, and that because he broke his word to Matt once (the same Matt who’s been playing all sides and breaking words, and making promises impossible to keep all along…) that he’s got to go. The sad thing is - they’re right, because without Mattie, he’s the top dog (Stop screaming no - I mean playing the game-wise) and I may see the end of my beloved James.

Chelsia: Sure, she’s crass, and rude - but you never, ever doubt where you stand with her. She’s sick of Natalie’s shit, she’s sick of Sheila’s shit and she’s made it known. Unfortunately, that’s not a good thing right now, and she is about to pay the price in losing James. She’s going to come unglued when that happens, and I foresee an endurance fight to the death for HOH next week. (It’s the perfect week FOR an endurance comp, with all this and the houseguest coming back in..) She didn’t trust this plan to put her up as a pawn to begin with, she didn’t trust the boys to begin with, and she made a mistake in going against her gut and agreeing to the plan.

So that’s where it stands, currently. What’s going to happen? Can the script be flipped again? I’m not sure, honestly, unless Adam makes Sheila mad again, or Natalie grows a brain. The three boys are Kings of the House this week - and if they get James up n the block it’s not gonna be pretty after tomorrow’s POV Meeting. I’d spark up the feeds kids, because it’s bound to get good and ugly.
Looking forward to next week - if the Bros’n'hos get HOH, then Josh and Chelsia are up on the block, with Sharon as replacement. If it’s Josh/Sharon/Chelsia - it’ll be Matt and Ryan, Nattie as replacement, without question. I’m not sure how the votes would go, who would be gone, but as long as they’d lose one of them if there’s no choice for their alliance.
And then there’s the Houseguest returning - I’m not sure how that will shake down, which side of the house they’ll fall on. I do think they will be a secondary target for J/S/C - They’ll want Mattie and Ryan GONE, and only once that alliance is broken up will they take after the returning houseguest. This could be a good reason to get them on their side. Of course, if it’s Alex or Allison - that’s a lost cause. They might have a chance with the others.
So how do YOU think it’ll shake down?
