Sunday Episode Recap! with Laugh Track!
Previously on Big Brother 8….
After the recap of last week’s events, we rejoin our Hamsters moments after the eviction. Amber, of course, is in tears, as we expected. She is shocked, and knew they were a strong pair, but didn’t think they’d come after her like this, and she has nobody. Dick is crowing, who would have thunk it that I would still be here, especially with my behavior! Jessica says she was sad to see him go, but she was glad to get him out without getting her hands dirty, strategically she was glad to see him go. Eric feels great about it as well, and the blood is on our hands and it feels good. Daniele is glad her dad is still there, of course.
Eric tells Jameka that it was a group choice and they can talk later. She tells us she can’t truck those that she thought she could, and that nothing makes sense, while Amber continues to sob, telling us she got played and she hasn’t tried to play anyone. (Except Nick, of course.) And that she doesn’t know what to do. Jameka puts the blame on Eric’s shoulder, which sucks because Dustin saved him last week. She feels she and Amber didn’t do anything wrong to them, but they don’t trust them anymore. Amber says she knows Dustin would tell her to be strong, because she’s still there.
Cut to the HOH competition, and Amber tells us she knew the answer was six, but her lucky number is seven and she was confused. Dick celebrates in the Diary room as Amber tells us that Jameka is the only one she can trust. Eric is happy that he and Jessica lined themselves up correctly and is nice and relaxed. Daniele says it’ll be different this time.
Then she teases Eric and Jessica that she’s gonna put them up, and everyone jokes and laughs. There’s celebration in the round room with Dick and Daniele, complete with happy dances. Daniele tells us she won’t jump to any conclusions this time, so that she’s happy with the person that walks out on Thursday.
Jessica and Jameka talk. Jessica knows that Jameka can’t do HOH, but is still a vote, and aims to keep that bond with her even though she left and went a side deal. She explains that she would rather know what’s going on - like with Dick, then to wonder - as with Dustin. Jamkea tells her it sucks, and asks if Eric has any other side deals. Jessica says she’d disown him if he did and she trusts him. Jameka says it doesn’t add up.
Then we see Daniele’s HOH room next, complete with old pictures of her, Dick and her brother (The picture of really bad hair! - Dick). Zach finds it strange that there is no letter from her boyfriend, but a letter from Nick, which gets MUCH ridicule by Eric. “Not only is it a letter from Nick, but it’s some sort of scrapbook album. He’s an oversized, scary man, and it’s hearts and glitter… it looks like something a 13 year old girl would do!” Daniele tells us she was excited to get the letter from Nick and it meant a lot as he’s rooting for her from home.
Daniele checks in with Amber, and offers her support. She tells her it isn’t her, and that Dustin was simply too much. Daniele tells us that on a personal level, she is there for Amber, but strategically it doesn’t change her opinion of Amber at all.
We come back to a montage of Amber’s stellar Vocabulary skills, where she proves she doesn’t know the meaning of words such as charismatic, ridicule, superficial, intergrity, back door (?!) outed, sub-alliance… so on. Jameka finds it odd, and Dick says he wouldn’t be surprised if her vocab skills match her 8 year old daughters. Amber tells us that she doesn’t remember what words mean, how sad! And when she asks what peanut gallery means - CBS puts in a laugh track. Brilliant!
Eric and Amber have their talk, he tells her that it wasn’t planned, and that he didn’t make a deal with anyone and Amber says she doesn’t know where she stands with Eric and Jessica. He says nothing that happened has changed that they have fun, and she thinks they should sit down and talk and see if they still have a group. She tells us she was weaseled by the group and will play it up - she can forgive, but won’t forget.
BEER PONG! Eric explains the game to us, for those who didn’t have the dorm room experience. They start making wagers, and we get to see the booty shorts, AND the dress! Eric tells us it was disturbing, the booty shorts. Zach has the funniest laugh, as they watch him get dressed in Jessica’s dress, and she tells us he looked nice. Eric finds it sad that he looked alright as he’s a fairly petite fellow, but he paid up!
Jameka and Amber pull Dick into the round room to see if they can figure out how he stayed when it was a sure thing. He doesn’t promise to answer their questions, but explains as best as he can. He explains the way he got them to despise him was planned in order to save his daughter, and how he loved to be up against Dustin. He was a smug sonofabitch, and how everyone hated the way he paraded around. He pulled the biggest mistake of the game. They connect some dots - Jameka says she doesn’t buy it, and Amber calls Jessica and Eric stupid, but they figure they have a final four agreement. And they realize they don’t have the votes to stop it.
WHOO! SURVIVOR PREVIEW!! (..I also write for Watching Survivor. (grin))
TOGA TOGA TOGA! It’s time for the food competition! Zach tells us he looked the best in the Toga, but his arms looked GREAT. Everyone in Toga’s goes outside to see a giant game of Beer Pong for the food competition! Eric says his eyes lit up like Christmas morning, and he’s a jewish kid! Jessica tells us togas and beer pong is like an everyday thing for her. Slop pong is played with barrels, and volleyballs that they throw across the net and into the barrel. Close all 10 first, and get food for the week. There’s also one Feast Cup on each side. Both sides get the Feast cup, and everyone eats one night. Time to see if all the beer pong battles pay off!
The teams are Blue - Jameka, Amber, Daniele and Jen against Red - Dick, Zach, Jessica and Eric. Jessica is on fire, hitting the first couple of shots for her team, while Eric doesn’t hit a single shot for a long time. The red team has a comfortable lead, and Zach hits the red feast for them too, and then Jameka hits their feast, and they get to eat at least one night, which makes Jen - still on slop no matter what - gets to eat at least once. It comes down to 9-9, Zach tells us they’re the power players that play it all the time and what’s going on? Dick says maybe Eric’s headband was too tight… Then Eric’s up, and he still hasn’t hit a single shot. He comes through when it counts though, and sails a perfect shot in to win food for the Red team! Slop for Amber, Jameka and Jen! (Daniele is HOH, so doesn’t have to be on slop.)
They go back inside to find the smaller table! Jameka says it made her think wow, so many people have left, while Daniele jokes that it makes her feel the walls are closing in on her and she can’t get away from the people she doesn’t want to be close to, but it has sunk in that they’re halfway through the game. And of course “How are we gonna play beer pong??”
Jessica and Eric discuss their new badassness, and Dick teases them and says give them a little kiss, and Jessica ends up spilling about the question Julie asked while Dick teases them. Eric says “I know that you love me.” And she says “I think I really hate you.” while they’re doing their giggle tease thing.
Jen tries to get information from Daniele, and doesn’t get anything. Probably because she can’t string two words together without one of them being ‘like’. Daniele tells us she doesn’t trust Jen at all.
Time for America’s choice! Eric finds out we want Amber nominated, and says he loves us and considers it a great choice and easy to bury Amber and have her sit in the seat vacated by Dustin. He gets to work right away, and they tell him he’s brutal, but that it’s definitely possible as Amber keeps sliding by since week one. Daniele lets us know she doesn’t trust Eric, but she’ll figure it out.
America’s player is working for us! He’s going to share a moment with a houseguest - to whom should he give his childhood ‘woobie’? Eric worked hard for us last week, America - Let it be Jessica! Vote at CBS.com!
Time for nominations. Amber says she’s nervous, and is pretty sure she’s going to be going up because she gets along with everyone. Jen is a little worried, but knows Daniele told her it wouldn’t be her, but whatever. Jameka feels anything can happen and she’s not in a good position. Daniele knows that she’s putting people in the jury, and wants to be happy with her choice. Eric says he’s believing Dick and Daniele, and is confident that the least they can do is give them a pass this week. Daniele adds it’s been too long for people to be in the house doing nothing, and some people don’t deserve to win this game.
Daniele opens the Nominations Ceremony by telling people it’s a tough situation to be in and it was one of the hardest decisions. She’s playing the game strictly strategically, and saying that, Jessica, I told you I didn’t take your nomination personally, and I hope now you believe me. You’re safe. The rest of the keys are pulled out in this order: Jen, Dick, Zach and Eric.
Daniele tells Amber and Jameka both what they want to hear/believe. She nominated Amber because she gets along with everyone, same with Jameka and everyone loves them both and she doesn’t want to sit next to them in the final two, because she wouldn’t have a chance of winning. With that, she gives them the chance to fight for POV, and the meeting is adjourned.
Jameka feels like everything happens for a reason and is already ordained and Jameka tries to put a smile on Gods face. Amber says if everything pans out like God has told her, she’ll win POV and they’ll be in the final two. Daniele tells us that Jen is the real target, and she’s such a competitor she wants her out now.
Who will win the Power of Veto? Who will they save? Will Eric finish his task? Find out Tuesday!
