Big Brother Craze

Last time, on Big Brother 8….

After the recap, we rejoin our houseguests right after the eviction of Jen, with Dick telling us how excited he is that Jen’s gone, and reminds us that he’s hated her since day one and now they can move. Daniele regrets hugging Jen, and says she’s one of a kind and hopes not to encounter her again. Jess tells us that Jen’s last words made her nervous, figured it was something about someone in the house. Eric says he said whatever one was thinking, he just blurted it out. Dick reminds us it was the easiest vote out. Even Amber is happy and didn’t cry at all, and she’s happy to have them. And Jen’s picture goes black and white. Dick “She said it would look better black and white as soon as she saw it and she was right!”

We flashback to the HOH competition, and Jessica’s win Eric tells us that he’s overjoyed and happy that they’ll both be sitting in the final six. Dick says it’s fantastic because he and Daniele are safe. Jameka says she trusts Jess and thinks she is safe as well. And so Daniele. And Zach. Is it just me or is EVERYONE way too comfortable at this point? Amber says she prayed for Jess to get it and tada! Finally, a prayer answered for Amber

Jessica and Eric celebrate, talk briefly about game, but decide to celebrate for tonight, talk game later. (Eric is learning!) Amber is sure that Jessica will put up Dick and Daniele again and that Amber has a good shot at HOH because Jess can’t compete if it’s endurance. Amber says she knows Jessica and Eric are playing both sides, but her instincts tell her that she’ll put up the Donatos.

Eric and Jessica flirty time! Here’s the 30 minute private time convo! How did I miss this convo? This is so cute, and Eric admits he has absolutely no game. Oh Eric, we know, we know. WhatEVER.. (Jessica voice, of course!)

Jessica gets her HOH room, and the guys love the dance team pictures, and Dick points out the outfits are awful. And tells us the team is ugly - except Jessica. And everyone loves the BooYah! shirt! (ED: Speaking of - her dance team is selling copies of the BOOYAH! shirt for charity, if your so inclined)

Amber and Jess have the little talk about Jen’s parting statement, which is about Eric having a girlfriend and to be careful and who knows, and Jess says if it’s true, Eric wouldn’t tell Jen and not her. Dick asks, and Amber lies (OMG) and says that she doesn’t know what she was talking about. They fill in Eric seconds later, who’s understandably upset. Jessica tells us that it did bother her a little bit because she hates cheaters and liars, and she needs to watch out for Eric.

Eric talks to Amber about the comment, and how Jen always thinks she knows what she’s talking about, but it’s her own skewed perception. He explains that it’s on again off again and unresolved, but wants to be sure that Jessica understands. Eric tells us that everything is true and genuine with Jessica and with her best interests at heart. Then Eric and Jessica talk it out, he’s honest about the situation, and Jessica tells us if he’s choosing to mess up an outside relationship, it’s his business. They talk it out, and crisis seems to be averted!

Cue Dick and Dani weirdness. She says it’s hard, to be stuck in the house with him every day. She’s never viewed him as a parent, and she still doesn’t. She tells Zach he’s getting on her nerves. And she’s “So over it.” Then we see footage (from last week) where it blows up and he asks why she’s so impatient with him. She lets go and is sick of everyone, his farting, rude comments and trying to parent him. He sighs and gives her space. Fast forward to late that night where he’s trying to get her to talk, and she’s not buying it at all. He says he is sorry he never gave her the perfect home, and she says she can’t do this. He says she always quits, and she blows up. They’re yelling, and Eric and Jessica are in bed, and mention that it feels fake to them.

Jameka comes to talk to Jessica about who she’s putting up. Jameka starts pushing for her to put up Dick and Daniele once again. Says it’d have to be both or neither, and then back door. She promises she won’t put up Jameka, and Jameka keeps pushing for Daniele. Jessica tells us she knows it could be a huge turning point - D&D are the biggest threats, and she knows that.

Time for the First Luxury Competition (I bet Jen will be SPITTING NAILS. *L*). Jessica splits the teams girls vs. boys, and everyone goes and gets into uniforms - track looking suits) and they head outside to see a giant laundry matt bubble machine! BUBBLES! Eric says he feels something bad is going to happen. The prize is a BB Shopping spree - but to win they’ll have to get into their bathing suit. Amber tells us she’s nervous. Daniele says she’s uncomfortable with nudity and hello, daddy is in the house. Eric figures they’ll try to cover themselves the whole time and it’s an easy win.

The game is - on the inside of each article of clothing is a sewn letter. They strip and arrange the letters in order on the clothes line to form 3 words (Toga, Unitard, Bunnysuits.) Dick is glad that he’s not on Daniele’s team, as well. Amber gets in and starts stripping. For all their worries, the girls are stripping with glee. Daniele didn’t want to do it - but hey, clothing is at stake! What’s a girl to do? Dick admits he’d have liked to take a pick at Jessica, but the rest - no. Eric notes their eyes were NOT wandering, because why would they want too. Amber is good at puzzles like that, she does it with her daughter, and figures out unitard right away. While the boys look confused.

Zach is standing proud…. and confused! They have the word Goat. And Eric is confused, because they haven’t had anything with the word Goat, but what else could it be. Meanwhile, the girls spell Toga! Dick goes over and rolls his eyes, and puts it up together. That’s when it started to dawn on Eric that they’re in trouble. They were rearranging from nonsense, to greater nonsense. While the girls are WORKING it. Only they were missing a letter, and with screams, they’re running around buck naked, searching, until they realized that two pieces were stuck together and they win the competition with much naked cavorting and jumping in joy! WHOO! Jameka says everything waving, and floppin, it was liberating!

Poor Zach. “I spent five days in a bunny suit, and I couldn’t unscramble the letters.”

The ladies have two minutes to put on clothing, they get to keep whatever they’re wearing at the end of the two minutes. The men shout encouragement, and they just start grabbing, they can decide if they like it later. Daniele says the other girls needed it more, but… she was running low. She comes away with most. Amber laments that the sizes were smaller and she’s “not as small as she looks” Jameka is so excited, they’re designer clothing, which she’s never owned before. And Jessica steals the manikin! The girls are excited and declare it the best day ever!

Cue more footage from a couple weeks ago. Jameka tells Amber she’s gonna be on the cover of magazines, and Amber says Nick told her she should do ANTM - and cue the sexy music and slow mo of her blowdrying her hair. I just spit diet coke all over my keyboard. This is followed by Amber saying that the way she talks, her face and hair, that she is certain she could be a model. And Jameka keeps saying yup, you know it, and I threw up a little in my mouth. Heh.

Cue to Zach comes up and pitches his defense - promising Jessica his loyalty to her as HOH. Even tosses in an “if you can trust Eric” in there, but mostly pushes for Daniele and Dick.

Time for Eric to find out who we voted to get nominated: Amber. He is happy with the choice, and says it’s a fitting option, and can virtually guarantee that she is nominated. He pushes Amber with Jessica, and says she is done with Eric and Jessica as a pair, and she’s not trustworthy. Taking her out breaks up her and Jameka as well. Jessica says she’s torn, there’s a lot of different things that could happen and she doesn’t know what she’s going to do.

Tonights task! It’s time for Eric to take a relationship to the next level. Who should Eric kiss?

(ED Note: Now, the boards are in an UPROAR as we who watch the feeds know what happened this morning. My feeling is that this show was edited and put together BEFORE the kiss this morning. There was no footage from yesterday or today shown, which leads me to believe it was edited yesterday to be ready for air. This tells me that this task was worded BEFORE the kiss this morning. They didn’t toss it in last minute. Call me an optimist, but let’s not punish Eric for what conspiracy theorists are calling truth - no one knows for sure unless they did the editing themselves. So Vote Jessica! That is all.)

Time for the nomination ceremony. Amber tells us she is nervous but feels they still have the group (Amber hunny, that group is DEAD.) Jameka says she’d be mad, but she’d deal with it if she was put up. Daniele has been nervous for every nomination and never feels confident. Jessica says she has the opportunity to put up two people she doesn’t feel personally threatened by, but it’s not personal. She came to play the game. Zach hopes he’s in the clear, but doesn’t know.

Jessica starts the ceremony by saying the game has gotten harder and harder because she has built closer relationships in the house. There are some people she’s had ups and downs with, some she’s had ups with that have been there consistently. Eric, you are safe. Daniele is safe. Jameka is safe. Dick is safe.

Jess tells Zach that she’s gotten closer with him since they’ve been there, but she’s been closer with others the entire game, personally and strategically. And Amber, basically the same. And the meeting is adjourned.

Zach is shocked because he thought they had an understanding. Jessica says that she’s close with Eric and Jameka, and has a deal with Dick and Daniele. She’s not regretting it so far. Amber. “Hey God, it’s me, I don’t want you to think that I’m doubting you. God Bless you. help me be strong.”
